EU+US What's the average ilvl a 20 needs to have to have any stat increase in a BG?

Base Ilvl for 20 is 25
Base Ilvl for 29 is 34

Every 10 points above this number results in a 1% increase in stats. THERE ARE NO BREAKPOINTS. But I'm going to assume stats aren't actually added unless they are whole numbers.

wait, so the base ilvl are based on the individual's level? so if a level 20 and a level 29 have the same ilvl, the level 20 would have more stats?

No, each level has a different base ilvl, for lvl 20s it's 25, for lvl 29s it's 34, every item level above standard base ilvl gives additional stats

but what do you mean by each level? the individual player's level (can be anywhere from 20 to 29)? the brackets min level (20)? the brackets max level (29). cos 20-29 is in the same bracket, im not sure what you mean when you say 20 and 29 have different base ilvl

I can't speak for 20-29 but in the 10-19 bracket, you wont see a stat increase before you raise your ilvl above 41

Gear Ilvl scales to a "Base Template" for each player based on their level. For 20's it's 25 that means if a player's gear is below ivl 25, it will scale to ilvl 25, anything above that will grant them extra stats. For 29's the player's gear scales to ilvl 34, anything above 34 will grant extra stats. According to this "Base Template" a 20 will have the same stats as a 29. IF a player has a higher ilvl than their "Base Template" they will get extra stats, based on how many points they are above their "Base Template" for their level.

This is false. in the 19's bracket you see stat changes quite fast, as long as you are above 24 ilvl average.

Can you provide some screenshots to show us please?
Most people are below 40 average level, so you can clearly see it in the battlegrounds on peoples stats.

What... I meant that apart from the stats you are given upon entering instanced PvP, you will need above ilvl 41 @lvl 19 to receive further stats

What are you basing this on, you do realise that not even warforged invasion gear is above 34. You need to have above ilvl 24 at lvl 19 to start getting boosts. Otherwise it would be pretty much useless to even work on any gear, not many classes can get above 40 as it is today

Clothies can get above 41 without WF'd gear, it's not too hard, and should be easily doable with WF'd gear on every class. The reason I'm saying this, is that pr 1 ilvl you get above 24 you gain 0.1% stat. But when you only have around 100 stamina or whatever, a 0.1% stamina increase won't show and won't actually give you any stats. People have then experimented based on templates and ilvl boosts, to see how high you would need to get your ilvl to actually experience a boost in your stats.

so that means the base ilvl is based on the individual player's level, not the brackets level. to elaborate on what i understand you are saying, lets say there are 2 players in the same team and in the same battleground. both of them have the exact same items equipped and neither are wearing any heirlooms. both have an average ilvl of 40 equipped. the only difference between them is that one of them is level 20, and the other is level 29.

you are saying that the level 20 will get (40 - 25) * 0.1% = 1.5% stat increase. and the level 29 will get (40 - 34) * 0.1% = 0.6% stat increase. so the level 20 wearing the exact same gear have higher stats than the level 29. did i understand you correctly?
