What realm

Conversely, are there any popular US realms for Alliance? 29, 39, or 49 bracket? Looking through armory links and posts, Alliance see to be scattered across multiple realms.

I don't know anything about 29 or 49 alliance. For 39 alliance, there's no single server mecca like BH is for horde. The community feature largely makes up for this imo.

Popular servers may include: Stormrage, Emerald Dream, Kel'thuzad, and Sargeras. Mostly high pop servers for Alliance, no server mecca.

Servers seem to lack any real relevence in the current state of wow in terms of community or actual real benefit imo. Outside of fotm duelers using engineering items. In fact rolling on a popular server like bleeding hollow has lots of disadvantages like super inflated ah prices for boes and any other items relevent to twinking. Even the role of guilds is questionable anymore.

Im really looking forward to vanilla and returing to that old sense of recognisable community.

I'd argue they still have their merit. Guilds provide a tighter knit sense of community. While you may be benevolent and help out our community as a whole, you still have more familiar players that you can queue with or engage with in chat.

This is amplified even more in my opinion when it comes to scaled epic farms, or any sort of wargame play. Groups for farming will always be inclusive for everyone, but you'll have greater luck getting to know the regulars and people willing to put out large 2x4 sessions.

BG and Arena wargames mean a lot more under that <guild> tag and you'll have routine players to build synergy with. Yes, /4 community will always have you in the know for events, but having a foundation of players to get to know and duel/play with is a huge plus.

While I respect, admire, and compete against the lone wolves of this bracket, I encourage others to seek out their own havens and develop &/or grow with their own nests of players.

Im not suggesting the alternative of the current state (imo) of guild/server relevence is lone wolf solo queueing. Group queueing is real and alive, just that with cross server interactions and btag lists the benefit and utility of 'guilds' and 'servers' is much less important. Honestly in terms of guild presence I cant think of any single guild in BFA that have really made a solid presence and impact in any brackets i play in let alone rivalries between competing guilds which was a hallmark of previous metas and helped provide some purpose or value to each game. Stuck at the gy in 20-29 in early/mid legion was probably the last I saw of an active healthy guild queuing multiple 5mans and provoking recognition when perusing the opposition team before the gates open. And they havent been active in BFA.

19s guild seem to revolve around increasingly disposable short term twink cup teams and 'prestige' old dead guild titles eg; skill ratio etc with little activity. Even the spam invite guild 'warlords of warsong' is dead (in a meta when gear matters again, which we all wanted).

It seems the times of guild chats being a constant flowing conversation and super active discords and drama rivalry between different guilds are not how they were in my experience in the past.

Curious are you US 39 by chance? I know the community is super active, moreso on Horde-side. Discord as a whole is usually 5-30 deep depending on the night, and surprisingly that's majority one faction. I think with a certain meta, whether that's competitive 3s or RBGs, there's room for improvement and some tweaks to recreate that feeling.

However, I definitely am starting to feel a sense of tension and rivalry amongst us, especially those new trying to prove themselves. I'd love to even have 3 maybe 4 full rosters that can provide HIGH tier competitive play to compliment the casual BGs, skirmishes, arena tournaments and community WG nights.

Myself, I am encouraging those to seek out like minded players. With <mh> on BH and some other small-grouped guilds, I'd hope to see some sort of organized play go on besides 3v3s.

I see the 39 twink guilds of 2018 more as small groups of players with previous history (whether it be through previous revivals, real life, or from time spent in other brackets). These tend to be pretty insular groups. If you're a new player or a relatively recent entry to the bracket, /4 is going to fulfill the function that guilds did in previous years. I think it occurs pretty organically; people meet in /4, play some games, like playing with some people more than others, and go from there.

Saw someone mentioned Emerald Dream. That’s my main server. Is there a large 39 presence there? Or twinks in general?

Would not suggest bleeding hollow. Lots of tinks but the AH is fukkin dumb. There are much better options out there for servers AH wise. I can't believe anyone is actually paying 50k+ for boe greens, but to each their own.

Ps guilds still matter and mine is better than yours. That is all.

If you’re looking for a no drama guild (horde) that plays in all twink brackets basically arthas is a good choice, guild make your time. Not organized we just play whatever bracket and win every game on a nightly basis. :)

No drama goes both ways though, if you’re an ass go to BH as there’s plenty of drama there.

I'm giant douche bag and not even I could handle bleeding hollow. That server needs to be aborted.

Ps. Always nice seeing the name MYT out on the field. Big throwback

Its true that bleeding hollows auction house is complete aids, but the majority of people in the 39 community on bleeding hollow, including myself, are very welcoming to new people or people new to the server

One bonus to being on bh is the scaled up boes since alot of people in my guild and others are constantly farming, and I am more than happy to give away most of what I have in the bank and on my person

So, if you're looking for a super active 39 server, feel free to come play on bleeding hollow! I'm sure there are alot of other good server options too

Thank you everyone for the insight replies. I was hesitant on starting my own guild as real life prevents me being on all the time to provide leadership and support growth for a fledgling guild. However, maybe I should start smaller and provide a haven for the twinks of all brackets on my realm and then work towards expanding and/or choosing a bracket to focus on.
