What not to do as Priest to stay alive against a warrior

So here I decided to go over a few things to help priest stay alive.

EDIT - This is not my video aka I am not the warrior frapsing this. So if you want to make a comment about the PoV or the UI or anything don't do it on this forum considering the person who made this video doesn't read this forum and doesn't care.

Aight let's begin with the most obvious mistake that subpar player makes most of the time. Note that I am not aiming this at the priest in the video, those mistakes are often made by other players too.

1. If you look at 4:38 , you will see that the priest missed his fear and only feared the warrior. The problem with that is , it is completely wasted considering I can just dispell the warrior because the priest failed at fearing us both. So what to learn from that is don't miss your fear and if you have to pick between fearing shaman or warrior , fear the shaman not the warrior.


2. Don't panic , as you can see at 4:45 the priest doesn't realize that there is only 1 warrior dps on him and start panicing when his bubble gets purged off. He drops his Psyfiend behind the warrior , aka he miss the shaman again , so fear will simply be dispelled again. The big mistake also was that the priest wasn't in danger either. There was an holy paladin with him to help him ( not that he even needed it ). But here are 2 cooldown wasted.

3. Here is the biggest mistake that most new / not experienced player will make. at 4:52 the priest kept running so the holy paladin started casting flash of light on him. The priest didn't even notice that Wind shear was used on the paladin aka he could have started healing without having to worry about being kicked. Sadly he tunneled and kept running , even wasted a gcd casting bubble instead of a heal. The bubble got instantly purged off and the priest died even with a 2nd healer.

Here are the 3 mistake most new / noobish priest will make ( don't take noobish in a bad way, I simply mean priest that are still learning their class ).

To sum it up , you have to make sure you use your defensive cooldown such a Fear and Psyfiend in a good way otherwise they are wasted and you might get in trouble. Finally, don't tunnel vision on yourself when you are being attacked. Look around you to know what's going on, specially note when Wind shear is used so you know you can freely heal.


P.S. I know most priest don't need all those advices , however a few priest do. So I though this could be useful for them. ^.^

Very well thought out, Had I been in this predicament personally I would have just ran at the Shaman forcing to keep ranging while simultaneously running him back to my own GY or else just peel of leaving the warrior free to fear at will. Or just healed myself IDK which, probably depends on my mood.

The main problem with twinking is the attitude that some people have. Here is a reply I got.

I don't make mistakes, everything I do is with a purpose beyond your comprehension.

Now I find this silly because there was obvious mistakes made. But some people are too stubborn to admit their mistake and improve instead they make excuses like those.

the fact that warriors can pretty much 3 shot was new to me.

That's a major problem because, most priest don't die because we did some amazing play or because warrior are overpowered. Sure , sometime if there is absolutely noone to help you in a 2v1 and the warrior get some nice crit you might die. But most of the time the reason they die is because of the mistakes they made.

When I die or when Rance die , I usually ask myself really quick could I have done something different to prevent us from dieing. If there was a mistake we adapt and we try to not repeat that mistake again. Sure sometime there is nothing to do considering WSG is a 10v10 so there is alot of different scenarios that can occur.

lock barely did 1 swing , wouldn't have change much cuz execute range already. Also 2 healer , I understand tho that you want to protect your fellow tinkies. But if you can't admit the following mistake then nothing can help your case Agonist. Also if you want to be extra specific 3 healers

You can keep acting this way and claim that you make no mistake. Or you can grow up and learn from your mistakes and become better. The bigger man / woman is the one who can admit his mistake.

Still don't understand why homeboy here makes videos and posts them almost weekly showing off how good he thinks he and his friend are at killing players 2v1 or 2v2 in a WSG pug game with one of the current best healers in the bracket in tow. If you feel you have something to prove, go to Kel'Thuzad Alliance and rack up some arena ranking, nobody here really cares.

It's funny because I always solo q. Now I could argue with you all day, but that derails threads and honestly fighting with you will be like talking to a brick wall. Yea and btw I was just letting you know that no one gave a flying alien, just a notice mate, not saying I care or anything like that. Anyways good day sir I really don't care what you have to say. I would recommend talking to drfgt and xeneria(If he still lives)because they really suit your personality.
