EU+US What made you reroll from 29 to vet/f2p?

Personally what made my brain crumble were that they introduced gear upgradable, and I couldn't get my bis gear cause of rng on a twink I worked hard on over the years. So now I made a monk, farmed the epics I wanted, and now I'm pretty happy.

100% would've stayed if quests were repeatable with no gold/xp reward. Or atleast make dungeon table upgradable.

If you're referring to your rogue, BiS pants, chest, helm and weapons are all farmable. Combined with your BiS shoulders and the rest of your gear, you'd be damn well geared for quality rogue-ing

Never gonna change my helmet for obvious reasons.^^

For outlaw there aren't any 1h swords/axes/maces other than an axe that has like 0,01% drop chance or something. I think.

I know the farmable gear, but some of it aren't really bis imo when you have the chance to an epic like soothsayin or Nax mace.

I don't know if I count for this.....as I have been playing F2P for around 6 years now. However, I did used to play 29s back in BC up to around early Cata (Along with 19s). I kind of ditched that entirely for 60s/70s, though.


Anyway, to me the main thing with F2P is the restrictions making it more of an adventure and challenge to obtain achievements/gear/etc, and creates a unique experience in WoW. After playing WoW for as long as I have (And other MMOs before it), having something new to keep the game from being stale was a much needed breath of fresh air.

Plus, the grindier playstyle is reminiscent of MMOs of old that I have fond memories of.

Lol, ummm, this. No one that even remotely values their own personal time would willingly live in denial and wait for hours on end for a chance of a BG to pop as a level 29 exp off.

Decided to create a 20 Arcane Mage, since pallies are in a considerable disavantage at that level.

Have spend hundreds of hours farming paladin transmogs. Even got as far as to farm Arcane Crystal to produce rare and good-looking transmogs. All of a sudden it doesn't matter anymore, since 29s can't get BG's.

One of my friends play ret 20 and its kind of a wheelchair class yes, however he makes it work in 1v1 as a lightforged.‍

Well, it's not lost.

I had too much to drink one night and ended up slapping an upgrade on the wrong account, and then when I logged in my 20s dinged. :s

So now it's just an alt account I rarely ever use. And one of the many reasons I no longer drink.

That F2P was quite marvelous. That being said, I certainly enjoyed quite a bit rebuilding and having to re-earn stuff.
