What do you mean by code from past expansion
But anyways you auto become a vet whwn your sub time runs out and you can still play your 20 toons. You also can enchant them (which is the whole point of a vet)

Ideally Id like to not use my main account as the account with a vet on it - this is because I wouldnt be able to que if I am subbed. So I wish to make another account, any way around purchasing BfA?

You don’t need to purchase bfa. Just pay for a month of game time and wait for it to run out. In the month you can make the characters and enchant them or stock up on enchants and other items like gliders or speed pots if you’re into using those.

Im not sure about regions but for wow1 and wow2 (and onwards) they will get shared as long as its the same region

If you mean link 2 accounts as in 2 diff accs that use different passwords i dont think that's possible to link them

If they are under the same b-net, yes. They will show up on the launcher as WoW1, WoW2, etc

Even if you have the same bnet. Your achievs and collections are region locked. Only thing that extends is event stuff (like hearthsteed, and stuff like it).

Think they removed battlechest and u can just buy time to a trial acc
