What did I just witness?

What just happened? I logged on last night and heard that swooshing sound when someone levels, but I heard the swoosh over and over again. I turn around and some Druid literally levelled from level 40-something all the way to 87! Just in the inn at SW? He was at 40 when I logged so he may have even been lower level than that.

I've never seen anything like it. Can anyone explain what I just witnessed?

After about 10 levels I took a screenshot as I was baffled :-

Then he hit 60 very shortly after :-

And went all the way to 87 when he seemed to stop levelling.

I've never seen anyone level like that. Got me knackered how he did that!

Isn't RAF just 3 x XP? How do you level up to 87 sitting in the inn? Or maybe RAF has changed since I did it many years ago.

Nah if you RAF with someone and you're 2+ levels above them then you can boost them up to your level.

You can save levels and use them in bulk irc

Nah if you RAF with someone and you're 2+ levels above them then you can boost them up to your level.

I haven't done RAF since about 2010. I just noticed something about giving extra levels. Ah, ok. Just was strange to watch and had never seen it before. Thanks for the clarification.

Level Granting
For every two levels your recruit gains while the accounts are linked, they can grant one level to one of your characters. Your friend must log in to the character with grantable levels, right-click on your character's portrait, and select Grant A Level.
