Thoughts on the former professional cyclist Lance Armstrong? Just watched a documentary on him

Sportingly - awful person, to cheat for so long. The doping programme too was incredibly sophisticated. Deserved the bans.

Ethically - I feel bad for the guy, going through the cancer he had and to continue cycling (and doping) then to get absolutely annihilated when his doping was discovered.
