Warrior tank - 60 twink

Hey making a tank, trying to get some thoughts on what kinda gear i should get, this is what i've come up with...

Not using t2.5 simply because it isnt as good as t2, but have it availiable.



I'm considering dropping the 8pc but not certain yet, havnt really looked into it.



But I know there some peices better from AQ40 than the t2 set, but probably not worth the set bonus...



Anyway, let me know what you would do, and what you think , cheers.

Then i'd say u cant get much better gear than that, didnt look that much tho but t2 is the best for tanks

Yep, that's pretty much the best gear you can get. The only possible upgrades I could think of are:

Blessed Qiraji Bulwark for shield and Dragonbreath Hand Cannon for ranged. Both of those are arguable upgrades, though.

2.5 is really worse than 2?

For tanking yeah, if you look at the stats, t2 has almost double the stam of most t2.5 peices, and more defence rating. Tier 2.5 was where they introduced warrior dps into raiding I guess.

Stats wise t2 is better than t2.5 for a tank, 2.5 was mainly aimed for Dps, atleast the stats given on items are. But for PvP Purpose I prefer 2.5 (even as prot) simply because it does more dmg. But for PvE: yea, go with t2.

Depends honestly.

For trash mobs use the 5/5 2.5 due to the 5 piece bonus gives you 50% damage on your thunderclap, which is INSANE amounts of threat.

for boss pulls use the 8/8 T2 due to the higher base stats, and better resistances if you're tanking 60's only raids.



thats what the 60 tanks in my guild do.

oh nice, yeah that is pretty insane, didnt notice it increased the damage thought it was only 50% increased slow.

warriors dps'd far before aq 40 btw, altho that was their "dps set" - " " b/c awesome stats like def rating!



but that is interesting...i have a 60 warrior and a guy is trying to put a 60 guild together on my server, so good to know t2 is that good.

I know warrior's dps's far before 2.5, but i also know they were incredibly bad, and nobody wanted them in their guilds

not true. there was a lot of nice offset dps pieces from mc, bwl, etc. tier was tank orientated, but there was enough gear to fill it in. 2.5 didnt change peoples conceptions about dps...i mean heck it still has def on it

Lol and look at the str on it :S the set was to introduce warrior dps into a tier is what i'm saying
