Warlock Q&A

Hurcules

Legend
I've decided to make a warlock in this bracket but cant seem to find much information about them. The only guide I seen was in the F2P section and P2Ps are much different. So my questions are... What is the most viable spec? Is 20 or 24 BiS? And what horde race do you guys think is the most effective?

You may want to look at the racial changes coming in WoD as well as all the added abilities coming to warlocks coming in WoD. Presuming that they do not change. With that said, do you want burst, support, or sustained? If/when the bracket expands, do you plan to stay at a lower level or level up to get access to glyphs and more abilities? The prepatch and stat squish may only be a few weeks away now.
Good luck!

Not one word did I state above. That I wanted to plan ahead for WoD. I live in the present and im looking to enjoy it now. Not the future. P.S. no insulting was intended.

Affliction is the worst spec, with demo being viable but Destro being the best.
Destroluck - Ravencrest is BiS for 24.
At 24 you're not gaining any big spells(rain of fire is useful though_, I can't comment on complete BiS but you'd probably gain a relatively small bonus from playing 20.
Goblin is great if you're playing Demo as double leap is gamechanging for mobility.
However Orc is strongest for burst and Undead being the best all-round choice.

Ty so much for the reply! But what about panda? I feel like playing destro with no leap that there racial would be very good against melees

I offered some free advice and you failed to answer any of the questions that were posed.
Failing to plan is planning to fail... Do you want to be a failure?

You only gain stamina boost and falling bonus with panda. Come a few weeks that food buff could be HUGE.
There are many racial guides in the trial section.
/cheers

For the moment Panda isn't great. Immolate will break the sap, as well as in bg's you cant rely on other players to not attack when used. I'd say it's one of the weakest choices.

That being said I havent looked into WoD info, as Ally said that could change.
Safest bet is Undead for now.

In my opinion goblin is the best choice for race, at least speaking from a destro/aff perspective, atm the jump is soo good vs all the fotm nelf rogues
If you don't care much about survival, belf is best for pure dmg with blood thistle, orc tops belf for premades tho
Atm destro is the goto spec if you want kills, demo for control and aff for support/spread dmg
And then u got the choices wether to gear for the 9.99% haste for an extra tick on immolate, as aff you want to stack haste all the way
Demo I know nothing about, so can't give much constructive criticism on that

Use imp! Auto dispels 10 sec CD,
Practise burst rotation if u plan on goin destro

Gl, hope you have as much fun with you lock(s) as I do:)

When I play my Alliance Panda shaman vs Goblin shaman. I really miss the rocket jump for the fast get away or catch up, that is for sure. You use it more than you think.

Thanks good looking ;)

One time I was defending farm with Riyego @ Aggramar - Community - World of Warcraft this boomy shows up, I rocket jumped behind him as he was casting starsurge, he just popped worgen Sprint and ran like hell, we had a good laugh about that :)

Lock is an all around awesome class to see, especially love seeing fringe affl. so happy gearing and hope to see you in some games.

PS: Allybeboba does have a quite strong point, even if you want to play now and dont care about coming WoD changes, they are coming, and it would be a shame to have invest time into your lock and then in a month have the prepatch come out completely changing everything. Just a thought.

All the best,
Pattern
