Hey everyone, I recorded a few clips over the past few days just to give people an idea of what playing a 111 resto druid looks/feels like in 8.2. I tried to avoid ungeared opponents (the majority are in the 300k-350k hp range), since most people sub-250k hp are free kills nowadays.
If you're expecting smart editing/music/highlights/top 1% arena opponents - this isn't the video for you. These are for the most part unedited clips, showing the fight from start to finish - against whatever opponents I could find while roaming that I could get to fight alone. I think they still highlight the strengths of the spec - very solid sustained damage with numerous escape/kiting tools, defensives and (of course) selfheals.
My druid armory is linked in my signature. My artifact is ilvl 257, and the second legendary that is bugged and not showing is https://www.wowhead.com/item=137040/chatoyant-signet&bonus=3630. You can see I'm not really BiS, since I'm missing 3-4 socketed Antorus pieces. I also opt to use the Ra-Den boots for the extra 10% runspeed enchant (I'm sitting at 173% base runspeed in cat form) - I may replace them once I get socketed Antorus boots, but for now I don't mind the loss in stats. My overall ilvl during these fights is 257.
Consumables that I use are https://www.wowhead.com/item=168314/biltong (at all times), https://www.wowhead.com/item=20008/living-action-potion (Human racial in pot form), and https://www.wowhead.com/item=169451/abyssal-healing-potion (basically a Lay on Hands). I flask rarely since I'm poor
. And, of course, whatever world buffs I can get (201 versa in Vol'Dun, 5% stats during Legion Invasions, random Druid Class Hall consumables in Legion zones, etc). In Legion zones I use https://www.wowhead.com/champion=646/keeper-remulos as a bodyguard for his super OP https://www.wowhead.com/spell=219209/emerald-charge ability.
