Vet sub ending - gold question

I apologize if this seems dumb or has been asked, i'm new to this site and have yet to see it mentioned. I have a veteran alt account that I have been prepping for the 20 bracket when the sub expires. What will happen if the level 20 has more than 10g or is in a guild that has a bank with several hundred thousand gold? Will I be able to play it? I know there are gold restrictions and such, but I can't seem to find anything that details what happens when the account goes ftp. Any help would be awesome!

new gold cap is 1,000g. nothing bad happens, you have that gold, and just can't pile any more on top of it.

So say I have 2000g, I'll only actually have access to 1000g? It doesn't "disappear" until sub returns?

no, you can use all 2,000 of it. you just can't earn any more until you get below 1,000. from there on you cap off @ 1,000g.
