Vanilla or TBC Twink - where to play?

Hi, I have a general question. Is there any place where the twinking community is still strong enough that you can enjoy games with short queues? I had a 29 twink in Vanilla Classic (Horde) and I could always join a BG, I met a lot of different characters there etc. I haven't played my twink since TBC was released.

I'm thinking about creating a twink, but should I go to classic Vanilla, SoM, TBC? Alliance? Horde? 19s, 29s? Or is twinking dead on official servers?
