Trying to unsoulbound an item

ATTEMPT #1.I'm trying to unsoulbound an enchanted item that originally was on my 70 twink but I'm trying to use it for my 39. I was wondering if anyone had any luck with this because this is my first time asking a GM for this type of thing but I don't mind making a second or maybe third GM ticket if I don't get lucky the first time. I'll keep this thread updated to see how it goes, as far as the item goes, it's a boe but I equipped it a while ago so hopefully I can get lucky

RESULT: didn't work


ATTEMPT#2 I submitted a ticket asking to have a few items mailed to a twink as my toon leveled due to the bug that makes people accidentally level. I asked a GM to send the items to a different twink in my account due to my other twink leveling accidentally.

Im going to keep this thread updated with the attempts I will be making if the first attempt doesn't work :)

Attempt #1 with GM: GM says "item was made in 2009, which means it was made too long ago for us to un soulbound the item".

Edit: the item is scouting trousers of the monkey, enchanted with 6 stamina 6 agility. Used it on my 70rogue back in the day when he twinked 19. As far as I know, the enchant can't be used on toons at level 39 because you have to be like level 60 and it makes the item soulbound I believe.

I'd the say only chance you have if it was very recently equipped and became soul bounded within 1-3 days. Only then if you quickly contact a GM would they maybe help you out.
 
psh your fine dude . I got 2 sf's unbound from a old lvl 20 rogue (19 I accidentaly dinged) and they had been on him for like 3 years.

just make sure the item isn't equipped when u send in the ticket an say " Hey Mr. Gm im really new to tickets and stuff but I'm stuck in a poopy situation. I just logged on this toon after a long time and I turns out an item I wanted to give to my other toon is bound to this one for some reason. The thing is I never equipped I or did anything to bind it to me . I looked on the battle.net forums and it seems there was an issue a while back with items randomly getting bound to toons. Could you please unbind my SWORD OF DERP? <3 thx buddy"

I bet you will get it unbound in under 3 attempts :O
 
^ that and if you want to be even more precise you can say that the bug was from the patch when they released Transmogrification. They had items randomly bind to you when they released the patch. Just find the patch xmog was release and you sound legit.

Thanks for the tip! I've got about 2 hrs left till the GM replies so hopefully I can let him know that. I'll update the original post in a few hours stating what happens lol

Thanks! I'll use that excuse for my second attempt :) that's if the first one doesn't work haha
 
I got a gm to unlearn a mechanical chicken battle pet for me. A pet that can't be caged. Guess you just gotta get the right person
 
I still have my zf mallet and helm of exile on a lvl 20 warrior.

That's awesome! I'll let you guys know how my second ticket goes, I'll try 3 times and see if I can get it un soulbound
 
I recently put in a ticket to see if it's still possible to have items mailed that are soulbound sent to another character due to the leveling bug. I'm going to update attempt # 2 with what happens, I'll update the OP tomorrow when the GM responds
