Seems pre dmg nerf assassin and combat rogues dmg was fairly close with combat barley holding on to the lead. After a few wsg and arenas using same gear just switching between fangs and talon of vultros and assassins blade switching between the specs, sinster strike and ambush in combat has been left behind in dmg compaired to mut and ambush in assassination.

100*0.83 = 83
100*1.17*0.83 = 97
you just add the *0.83 multiplier to each spec and realise that nothing has changed between combat and assassination
