Titans Grip VS SMF + Warglaives for 70 Twinks in Cata

Over the last few weeks i have been following the beta as close as i can. With the new addition of single minded fury to the fury talent tree my hopes and dreams had been answered or so it seemed.



I have a warrior that i am now leveling that i was twinking at 70 for a while that i managed to get duel warglaives on and went 1h fury. The main reason i went 1h fury is because i can spec for it and still be able to get deep wounds. The issue that now lies before us warriors is that we will not be able to get single minded fury or titans grip and still have access to deep wounds.



The only reason in my mind that duel warglaives could come close to titans grip is because of the fact that 1h fury can get DW. Since you can not have SMF and DW at the same time 1h fury is 100% broken.



Another thing to add is the fact that the soccets for apoly will become even more valuable with the new gems. If we will no longer be able to get DW i see no possible way that duel glaives will have even the slightest chance of keeping up with TG duel apolyon with Cataclysm gems.



It makes me sad because ive wanted 1h fury to be competitive with TG for a while but in cata the gap will only grow much larger.

dual glaives might still be viable w/o DW...altho the sockets on 2x apol will give a lot of extra stats, especially if they dont add a lvl req. to cata gems.



and cuddle was reffering to some rumors a long time ago where people were saying they were gonna add lvl reqs. to gems...............now that wouldnt really surprise me since its like that for enchants and other item enhances, but as of know there are no lvl reqs for gems on any data mined items (or on beta gems afaik), so i think for now we are safe

If they allow twinks to use the new cata gems i see no way in hell that duel glaives would come anywhere near TG with duel apoly. Thats not a troll statement i just simply see no way.

well all depends on how close the specs are now. TG vs 1h fury that is...i mean even now you're still losing 6 sockets that could be str, arp, or w/e. factor in losing DW and cata gems doubling (or more) the LK gem stats, my guess is that 2h fury wins out.

on mmochampion cata enchants req level-375 or 400+ gear items, ICC endgame gear doesn't meet that. currently none of the other professions have a limit set on items like gems.



however on mmochampion i read awhile back in cata professions some QQ concerning current use of WOTLK gems by 60 thru 70 twinks. there was a mention that epic WOTLK gems would be receiving a level cap and will no longer be useable by even 70 twinks. poster who posted that, also mentioned he may have to redo hiw 70 twink with BC epic gems, there was no mention if WOTLK green or blue gems would be capped also.



if they are considering capping wotlk items, i can't see them leaving cata items open.



on wow forums when AV CoA weekend rolls, watch the QQ concerning twinks in the 51-60 and 61-70 bracket explode, use of gear no longer obtainable, use wotlk gems and enchants......etc etc

If they allow us to use the new gems it will be a very bitter sweet moment for me. I highly doubt they will allow level 70's to level their JC to the point where they can use the new cata Jewelers gems. So the new Blue/epic gems will be much better than the Wrath jewelers gems which will make any twink who currently has max JC have to get something new.



More QQ yes but TBH the only reason i even started twinking my warrior 60-70 was because wrath was so bad to me. Now that wrath is over i guess its time to move on.



Beyond the war changes the mass dispell change will make felmyst VERY hard for full 70's and i dont know that i care to adjust rather than just do the new content.

i think SMF came about because warriors who wanted to DW and be fury and use two 1H weapons were diving into prot tree to get 1H specialization bonus and picking up concussive blow and other things which made one hell of a fury warrior for many to deal with in PVP. blizz has seen that, and doesn't like it along with many other classes besides warriors doing the same.



btw, Cata JC req's level-75+, wotlk had a very short pre-nerf period where 60's could have went to 475 JC, wasn't overly exploited like eng and other profs, but they nerfed it fast
