With the awakening of N'Zoth, Shek'zara, empress of the mantid, pledged her swarm to the old god's will. In service of her dark master, she unleashed her forces upon the Vale of Eternal Blossoms to claim Pandaria in N'Zoth's name.

• Overview - Grand Empress Shek'zara uses her powerful voice and Zara'thik Swarmguard to overwhelm enemies.
  • Healers -
    • Seek protection inside of a Sound Barrier during Force and Verve.
    • Avoid sound waves emitted during Song of the Empress.
  • Tanks -
    • Protect allies from Mantid summoned by Summon Swarmguard.
    • Seek protection inside of a Sound Barrier during Force and Verve.
    • Avoid sound waves emitted during Song of the Empress.
  • Damage Dealers -
    • Defeat waves of Mantid summoned by Summon Swarmguard.
    • Seek protection inside of a Sound Barrier during Force and Verve.
    • Avoid sound waves emitted during Song of the Empress.
• Song of the Empress - Shek'zara chants the Song of the Empress, emitting sound waves that travel outwards from her.
  Players that come into contact with Song of the Empress are Silenced and suffer 4 Nature damage every 0.5 sec for 3 sec.
• Force and Verve - Shek'zara shouts, inflicting 33 Nature damage every 1 sec for 6 sec.
  Players standing in a Sound Barrier take 70% reduced damage from Force and Verve.
  • Sound Barrier - Reduces damage dealt by Force and Verve by 70%.
• Summon Swarmguard - Shek'zara summons her Zara'thik Swarmguard to aid her in battle.
  • Zara'thik Swarmguard -
    • 
      Bladestorm - Charges to a player's location and spins a blade around the caster, inflicting 33 Physical damage to all nearby enemies every 1 sec.
  • Zara'thik Ambershaper -
    • 
      Amber Bolt Volley - Fires bolts of hardened amber at all nearby enemies, inflicting 25 Nature damage.

N'Zoth Assaults in Uldum and Vale of Eternal Blossoms

Assault: The Black Empire

• The Black Empire Assault has started in Uldum. This major assault resets on Tuesday at 7am PT in NA (Wednesday at 8am CET in EU).
• Completing this assault rewards you with 1500 Uldum Accord reputation, 750 Artifact Power, and a Cache of the Black Empire.
• Cache of the Black Empire contains Vessel of Horrific Visions, Corrupted Mementos, 2000 Gold or 200 War Resources, and a chance for a corrupted item.

Assault: Mantid

• The Mantid Assault has started in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. This minor assault resets on Friday at 7pm PT in NA (Saturday at 8pm CET in EU).
• Completing this assault rewards you with 500 Rajani reputation, 500 Artifact Power, and a Cache of the Mantid Swarm.
• Cache of the Mantid Swarm contains 5500 Coalescing Visions, Corrupted Mementos, 2000 Gold or 200 War Resources, and a chance for a corrupted item.

Island Expeditions for the Week of February 4, 2020
The Island Expeditions for the week are:

• Verdant Wilds with Primal Druids
• Snowblossom Village with Vermin
• Jorundall with Taunka

The Salvage Crates available for purchase this week are:

• Havenswood Salvage
• Skittering Hollow Salvage
• Molten Cay Salvage
• Elemental Salvage

Darkmoon Faire
The Darkmoon Faire is in town once again! If you're grinding reputation with the new 8.3 factions, Uldum Accord and Rajani, pick up the Darkmoon Top Hat or the WHEE! buff to increase reputation gains by 10% for 60 minutes.

Lunar Festival
The Lunar Festival World Event ends this Friday, February 7th!

New in 2020

• Complete the Lunar Preservation quest to be able to transmog the flower crown cosmetics all year round!

Sharpen your swords and reinforce your boards, because you’re called to the PvP Arena for the hectic mayhem of Skirmishes.

This Week: Arena Skirmishes

All week, from anywhere in Azeroth, open the Group Finder (default hotkey: i), select the Player vs. Player tab on the bottom of the window, and then under Casual, choose Arena Skirmish and JOIN BATTLE. You’ll be matched up with teammates and provided with opponents to kill in the Arena. You can also queue for a Premade group or create your own group within the Premade tab.

Look for the following all week long:

• Chronicler Shoopa in Zuldazar and in Boralus has a quest for you–The Arena Calls. Or, if you forget to pick it up there, you can start it from within the Adventure Journal.
  • Quest requirement: Win 10 Arena PvP Skirmishes
    
  • Reward: A PvP loot box
• Passive buff: +50% honor gains from Skirmishes

If you’ve been looking to make some Honor gains, this is the week to do it!

Call to Arms: Vale of Eternal Blossoms, Mechagon and Drustvar
This week's Call to Arms is Call to Arms: Vale of Eternal Blossoms, Call to Arms: Mechagon and Call to Arms: Drustvar.

Head to the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, Mechagon and Drustvar with warmode enabled to kill players of the opposing faction. This will reward you with Quartermaster's Note, Aspirant's Equipment Cache, Honor, Conquest and Reputation with either The Honorbound or 7th Legion.
