17 Days, 14 hours, 35 minutes played time on my main Starter.
I would estimate literally like five to eight days of that being farming Swiftness Potion.

Then shit like this happens.

I remember it took me more than a few months to get keefers angelfish.

Then when I decide to try my luck at the sea turtle, it drops in 20 minutes...

Swiftness potion usually just came to me in random dungeons. I never really farmed for it.

I tried to farm it but I am really bad at farming stuff.
Even got Rhae to help, running me through dungeons until I got tired of it (too soon, too soon). The day after, I did it alone one last time and it dropped (YAY), not gonna spend my life farming it :3

P.S. Get some friends to farm it with you, that way when it drops you either get it or get it. In case you don't, they're bad friends

As for the Fray Island thing, in my experience that's not as effective as dungeons. Also I've noticed for some reason that it tends to drop in level appropriate dungeons; I've solo'd RFC for hours with nothing (only seen it drop there on lower level toons) and then done a few WC and SFK and had it drop right away. Thats just my experience ofc, but my advice is like Fry said, run randoms with a solid group who won't ninja it from you if by some miracle it drops.
