So I just watched a movie called 'The purge' (I know I am a bit late, slowpokeee).

For those of you who haven't watched it, it's a "movie in which unemployment and crime in America are virtually eradicated with the introduction of a national tradition of purging of the human soul that is basically structured as follows:
-Annually on a mandated date and at a mandated time any and all crime is legal for a continuous 12 hour period. (including murder)
-During the 12 hour period no emergency services are available."
There are a few rules:
- Cannot use weapons above lvl 4; which I think are those like massive destruction and stuff.
- Cannot attack government officials of rank 10 and higher.
Anyone that doesn't follow the rules would be executed. And in an 'ideal' situation, The purge "acts as a controlled national release of evil, rage and hatred that allows the American people an outlet for a year of built up negativity so that the rest of the days of the year may be lived out in relative peace and harmony."

So, do you think it would work in your country? pros? cons?
I think it's very sick. Judging from the behavior of the people in the movie, I'd be scared to live here (lots of houses, not much protection, lots of gangs).
But thinking about the situation of my country, the purge would just get out of control. I don't think people would try to just kill others for the sake of it. The population here is somewhat united. What I think that it'd happen is that a lot of people wouldn't respect the 12 hr rule and most of them would unite and try to exterminate the richest people and the people on the government.
And, unlike 'muricans, it's not legal to carry a weapon here; owning one requires a lot of permissions, and even with that, the most you can get is .22, i think.
