It was purchasable during the first year of Burning Crusade, specifically patch 2.2, beginning on the 25th of September, 2007, when Griftah was moved out into Terokkar forest, and ending with the introduction of patch 2.3 on 13th of November, when he was moved back to Shattrath City.
It makes for a great bank alt item.
Additionally, I am selling Twilight Cultist Medallion of Station, an item that was used in the summoning of the elemental bosses during the Ahn'Qiraj patch.
It, too, can be equipped by level 1 bank alts. It might also see some use on a level 10 melee twink.
