For all people that haven't noticed / realised what the 3.1.0 patch have done to the twinking game, let me inform you.



1. Since after the patch, the expression " twink " has been nerfed / killed / removed.

2. Instead of fixing the enchantingglitches, blizzard choose to put a itemlvlrequirement on the most enchants, meaning that all money you put into pimping your twink is now completely worthless.

3. The major reason why the nerf camed was that all these kids that play this game has been complaining for years to blizzard that they don't wanna play against OP-Twinks. Well my respons to that is, don't join BG if you are lvl 10 ^^

4. I had the BEST, and i mean the BEST twinks in every classon my server, noone had a chance against me. But i paid my price, 30k gold for 8 übertwinks. But since the new patch, they're all worthless.



I will also tell you what i think is going to be the next nerf.



First we have to make clear what a twink is. A twink is a character, regardlesss faction, class and race that is the highest lvl in his/her Battlegroup. But to be a twink, you must invest ALOT of money and TIME into the character, meaning both items and enchants. Also you need PvP-skills to become a Twink. So to all you key-turners that have a good twink but can't play PvP, stop playing this game and go play LARP-RPG [ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_ekugPKqFw ] .



But this will mean that a lvl 80 is the highest lvl in his / her battlegroup. So regarding to the 3.1.0 patch, the next nerf coming should be resiliance nerf.

Why not ? Think about, if they nerf twinks just because they're OP, then they should nerf resiliance to make this sh*tgame more evenly. A player with resi-cap is never going to loose against a player with 0 in resiliance.



So Fag-zzard, remove resiliance or change back so twinks can be twinks again. And to all kids that made this nerf happend, i hope u get fat and die ugly. And to tell me this, if the mainreason with this game is to be the very best, why are u proventing people and nerfing items/enchants ? It makes no sense !

this is just rediculous, if anything 3.1 has balanced twinks even more. i'm having more fun than ever on my warrior who used to be nothing more than a Stam-stacked FC. twinks still exist, but there are no more 450 profs (which were OP in the first place) or 30 stam to shoulders(which was an exploit ). leg armors and head enchants were kind of a surprise to me, but if you just play your twink a bit you will find that they aren't really neccesary. if you are truly dedicated to your twink you will just learn to roll with the changes and adapt.



Also GMs are not devs. they don't have any say in what blizz does, they just help people out and most of the time don't even know about changes or why they were made. IMO people need to stop whining about 3.1, it's just getting annoying.

umm so youre saying that since some of your gear enchants have been removed, you fail at WoW? theres still things that separate you from people lvling up, so if you get raped now thats nobody's fault but yours. twinks have undergone serious changes but its not like everybody else isnt having to deal with the same thing as you. and about the gold issue, you can make more gold, and you wont have to spend anymore gold because if you had the best gear pre 3.1, you should still have the best gear in most cases and do pretty well. so if you are just complaining about enchants then QFT. youre no disadvantaged or anything else twinking is about being better than everyone else, and i for one am still better than most people i face in battlegrounds. so in essence, 3.1 has just made me twink in a new way rather than not twink or stay a twink.

I was skeptical at best of 3.1, but now that its passed its actually helped me. Now I don't have as much trouble taking on rogues as a shaman, even though my health is about 400 lower than it was.



3.5k on a hunter is just stupid, that wouldn't even be fun against 10 twinks. Its like Q'ing up for a level 19 battleground as a 60.



The truth of the matter is that you can either adapt and move on (and to be honest all those with any measure of skill will) or give up and quit. You can throw whatever reason you want at it, but if 3.1 pushes you over the edge then you simply weren't a great player.



It's a harsh reality, but its the truth.

Welcome to Twinkinfo. Hellovah first post man- maybe you should have taken 30 seconds to scan the 15-20 different threads about the upcoming patch, and when they were posted. Ask anyone; I was very vocal about my dislike for the upcoming nerf (my opinion was that if you earned it, like profession buffs, shoulder/leg enchants and the like, you should keep it) but that being said, the nerf has done two things:



a) Leveled the playing field somewhat; and I say somewhat because twinks still are on top in the BG’s- we’re just not face-rolling to victory anymore- Skill has become the prerequisite for victory, but you can still get your advantage with enchants and gear over the leveling passer-by.



b) Infused the BG’s with more people for us to play with. I’ve seen a bunch of twinks “come out of retirement” for the new patch just to check it out. I’ve also seen a new influx of inquisitive levelers pop in to see how the “new” BG’s are, and I’ve even seen a lot of new twinks created in response to the changes (after all, with a few notable exceptions, a twink only takes about a third of the raw cash to create these days).



I’d suggest that, rather than lament over what “you lost” pull up a chair, and open your mind to something new, and maybe you’ll find something fun that you never expected.



Or you can continue to QQ, and these boards will rip you apart- your choice.

A real definition of "Twink".

1. twink



An attractive, boyish-looking, young gay man. The stereotypical twink is 18-22, slender with little or no body hair, often blonde, dresses in club wear even at 10:00 AM, and is not particularly intelligent. A twink is the gay answer to the blonde bimbo cheerleader.

Anyway, 19's are way more fun than post 3.0/ pre 3.1, except they need to tone down hunters a bit. 4-6 twink hunters in one bg on either side is just overpowered. BTW, I have a hunter and averaging 50-1 in most bgs, is sort of getting old.



I am totally glad that they removed all of the unintended for lower level enchants (helms and legs), exploits (shoulders), and 450 gathering buffs (esp. this). I don't really think the 100 health to chest nerf (to me this was the only nerf) was necessary, but I think the +4 stats is better for most toons anyway.
