US TC Fundraiser Brainstorming

so was doing some thinking about this years prize pool that was covered in blackouts stream. Thought a fundraiser of sorts could build some donation interest and directly benefit people in the community.

Perhaps a raffle of some sort could be a cool idea? There's tons of things that players want for their rinks. Why not raffle stuff like this off to generate revenue for the cup?

List of things that could be raffled:

fangs
Gsa
GG19 funded character.
AGM
Reputation grinds (spore and Maghar come to mind)
The key to fresas dungeon
raw gold prizes
TCG items

The list can just go on forever and I'm sure there would be people interested in something like this. it would be up to the organizers to set raffle ticket prices but between $2 and $5 a piece sounds reasonable to me. All proceeds go towards TC prize pool off

Share your thoughts my fellow tinks

I like the idea of a fee to be in the tourney

Raffling items is against company policy, this topic has been discussed in twink cup committee meetings a while back and it was agreed that the TC doesn't want to generate revenue for itself by breaking the companies policy as this (if looked into) could go against the tournament in regards to potential sponsors and more. I can't exactly remember the ins and outs of it all but i remember there being a convincing reasoning behind it.

Incentives for people to donate off their own back towards the TC prize pool is difficult to concoct, seeing as a lot of potential good incentive ideas cost resources that the hosts don't have available to them (such as financial backing, etc). Plus if we had the financial backing, there is no way to forecast how much we could generate through donations and thus justify the investment to begin with. It's a tough one.
