Stonevault Bonebreaker?

I just picked up a [ITEM]Stonevault Bonebreaker[/ITEM] with Mongoose on it for 500g on the ah. Is this still the best MH for a 39 rogue, or is it worthless thanks to the Mallet?

Im trying to decide if I should save it for when I level my 29 rogue, or try to resell it for 1000+

The mallet is definitly better than SVBB. It's not even worth 500g anymore tbh. The only way SVBB can still be used profitably is on the offhand of a fury warrior or just for the "bone" look of the weapon. I've seen about 3 of them in the last week for 100-250 on a couple of servers.

The mallet is free too, so I dont think any rogue is going to pay 1000 for it when you put it back on the AH. Nice looks tho :)

If you got the weapon WITH mongoose on it already then 500 sounds pretty fair though.

I'd agree, that's actually quite a deal. I always wanted a 39 mace spec rogue with this, unfortunately mace spec took a nerf and this is no longer the best MH so meh... I'd try to resell it if you can, and if not just use it for leveling as it will last quite awhile.

and if you use it as a fury warr off-hand you probably don't want mongoose on it - I tried it both ways and static potency just seems a stronger enchant on your off-hand

fury warrys will use the WSG sword OH. SVBB is only viable for the looks...and imo mongoose on the OH is wasted continuous stats.

if you are lucky and you can sell it for 500+AH fee -> sell it.

if not, use it as a fun weapon. i have a fiery tenderizer...and look for that meat mace.

yeah, I'd go something like... mallet in MH with goose, and vanq' sword in OH with 20 agil, I do that when im bored enough to respec fury, 'cpet i use potency in OH.

Just an aside, I remember something that occured to me when they changed whirlwind to hit with both weapons.

Due to the fact that I was unsure whether bloodthirst could proc weapon effects, being that you can use it while unarmed, there seemed to be no disadadvantage any more to using a proc enchant on your offhand as a warrior.

Pre level 40, without bloodthirst to worry you, the effect is even more pronounced, even moreso now that hamstring does no damage and falls into that uncertain area.

Assuming hamstring no longer procs weapon enchants (which seems likely as sword/wf procs were one of the proposed reasons for the nerf), all that you have left that will proc them are white attacks, whirlwind, and pummel. Whites and whirlwinds will proc just fine from the offhand, so you're only really losing chances to proc from pummels.

Procs on your offhand may work just fine now as a warrior. I think I will do some testing this weekend.

With normalization and using my own AP, the mallet averages out to 215 normal hemo and the SVBB comes in at 208.

Personally I take the 4 extra agil over 8 stam, and I have other sources of damage besides hemo spamming. Besides, the SVBB looks TOO GOOD on a UD Rogue.

I'm running Mallet MH / SVBB OH on my duel wield warrior, but he is a dwarf and thus gets the extra benefit of 5 expertise for the mace which beats an extra 2 top end damage for me personally.

Worth 500g without mongoose ? Probably not . Best to stay with the old faithfuls like the ZF mallet and / or WSG sword for those of us that are not Dwarfs :p

The SVBB is the best OH for a 39 Fury Warrior IMO. I prefer the extra agi from the SVBB over the stam from the PS. You can squeeze out that extra little bit of damage with the SVBB. As for which enchant, Mongoose, Crusader or Potency, personally I'd stick with potency. I enjoy a static enchant much more than a "burst" enchant such as Mongoose or Crusader. Now moving on to the worth of a SVBB with Mongoose. This obviously fluctuates depending on servers, but I would assume it would sell for an average of 300g seeing as it is only useful for a 39 Fury Warrior, which is one of the least abundant classes/specs that you will encounter. Another factor is the expertise rating bonuses of Humans and Dwarves both of which have mace bonuses. So, if you can find a 39 Human or Dwarf Fury Warrior, your set to go ;).
