2 weekends ago I caught 2 rare fish after the winners had been announced. I fished from 4-6 pst. nearly every cast would bring up a blank loot window, which I assumed would have have had the tastyfish, however, since the winners were announced, no more tastyfish. makes sense. before 6pm, I still looted a brownell's and dezian among other of the common fish.

last weekend, I fished again after the winners were announced. I fished the same mixed schools. instead of a blank loot box popping up, nothing popped up after the bobber would jiggle. however, I was still receiving skill ups. I did catch a few of the other normal fish. I caught no rare fish.

so, is it safe to assume that we can still fish and catch the rares from 4-6 pst? anyone else have luck last weekend, or know any more about it? I'd rather not waste 2 hours if it's glitched in the past week.

Sorry to steal the thread but i saw how the fishing tourny time is based on pst, is that the same for Gurubashi Arena Chest spawns too?

I can confirm that you can still catch Rare Fish, even after the goblin announces that the Fishing Contest is over. I caught my http://www.wowhead.com/item=19805/keefers-angelfish last week about 20 minutes after the announcement.
