So early today i was thinking about leveling my next 70, a shaman, and thought, why not do it with RAF. I did not want to level myself or find someone i didn't know to level with, so i thought to myself "I bet my GM friends could help me out!" So i put a ticket in, my story being that my friend had recruited me and we never got the benefits. this was a little tricky because my account is WELL over 9 months old (RAF is 90 days from the START of the recruited account, not the date of the link, IE; even if you get a GM to give you the leveling benefits, it wont work if your recruited account is more than 3 months old.) so we put it in, and i assumed the character of a computer incompetent newbie gamer that didn't know how to work a computer (or play wow for that matter), very well.
So we waited around 7 hours for the ticket to go through, and long story short; the GM couldn't do anything because my account was over 90 days old ( i managed to squeeze the RAF mount out of him for my friend though
). Here is a concept, find any new player, put a ticket in saying that the player messed the link up, and you have RAF for 90 minus (how old the account is) days. this would only work if you found someone willing to level with you, but you could also get a sweet 2 seater mount. This was just the latest in my social engineering adventures, i'm sure some of you will figure out how to do something with this knowledge.
PS. the GM never said anything about the 1 month of free wow, but seeing as (in my experience) GMs do not look at previous tickets, you could probably use this to get free wow time, not sure if this is bannable though.
