Original Idea (Thanks to Painaid!) :: http://www.twinkinfo.com/forums/f65/bettering-ti-thoughts-ideas-feedback-39223/#post535291

I have never thought much about the Social Groups aspect of vBulletin, but Painaid's idea made me go back and look at the system and I have decided that it would be a very welcome addition for the structure of TI.

I have added a navigation button at the top of the forum as well for easier access to Social Groups.

Admins | Moderators | Veterans | MVPs | Guide Authors | Donors | Bloggers

Each of you can do the following:

- Create new groups
- Join groups
- Manage your group
- Post new discussions in your group

Registered Users

- You cannot create/manage groups for the time being, but you can join groups and post messages. I want to see how much use the specialized usergroups get prior to enabling just anyone to be able to create groups.

Group Creation/Management

- To create a new group, please visit: http://www.twinkinfo.com/forums/group.php?do=create
- You can choose for different group categories to match the subject matter of your Group -- Guild-Specific, Bracket-Specific, Topic-Specific
- You can select who can join your group - whether anyone can join, people can join but you personally (the creator of the group) moderate who is accepted, or invite-only.
- You can enable picture albums for the group, group messages, etc.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I hope you all enjoy this new feature of TI!

Regards,

Shane

Woot! Finally! Today social groups tomorrow the next facebook!

Looks awesome! Should be a great way for groups to communicate. No need to even create Guild Websites.

I have been making some modifications to the styling of the Groups. I have fixed some white backgrounds behind images and ugly borders.

If you see anything out of place style wise, please let me know.
