Shaman Enjoyers : Take Note

It looks like Shaman TANKS very possibly, almost certainly maybe, probably could be... a thing in retail!?
https://www.wowhead.com/news/shaman-tanks-follower-dungeon-npc-in-the-rookery-346612

Anyone who rolled shammy in SoD knows that they were the BiS tank ( might still be, I stopped early on )
But this NPC in TWW has players wondering if this is a soft test of a possible 4th Shammy spec. in Retail.

This is could be grayon-eater delusion, but even the rumor of this has me overjoyed.
Just wanted to share this post & spread this here.

Main-hand restrictions to Stormstrike are also being removed in one of the coming patches, giving 2-hander enhancement a comeback!
Though I don't think crow-wing reaper will compete with the dual-wield weapon combos, enhance can do. It's nice to have a viable choice in 2handers.

EDIT. This is false. Just a tool-tip error.

well not really. i tested it on the ptr and its the "off hand" requirement that got removed. You can use a 1hander and a shield and still use stormstrike. So like Orcy said, maybe prepping for shaman tanks

unfortunately though, stormstrike still requires a 1hand weapon. so no 2hander dream

Yap, hence the edit.
It sucks. I was getting ready to dust off my first 20 again.

Enha is a fun spec, regardless! And I'll probably remake one eventually, but I'm sad :FeelsLagMan:

Shaman tanks from vanilla through wotlk should have stayed an been built on by Blizz.
Takes some special group commitments but tanking up till ToC raid (not ToGC) was a lot of fun
