Volsci
Legend
Well, I was rolling a nelf mage to play at 19 with some friends. Mind you, I chose nelf so that I had an excuse not to farm two AGM's.
Out of habit, I hit smeld (which is the same bind as my vanish button on rogue) when I saw spells coming in that would kill me. As you would have it, the spell didn't hit me! I thought it was a fluke at first. There was no record of the spell interacting with me in combat log, and it WAS level 10-14, so I figured it just must have been something with the person not being hit capped.
All the same, it was good fun, so I made use of it throughout the evening in bg's while leveling.
After about three hours of this, almost every single time I have used smeld, the airtime spell I was using it on acted as if it was never even casted. In one particular instance, there were two arcane mages on me. Two arcane blasts + arcane missiles both all "missed" my character. I was at 223 hp upon hitting smeld, and was at 233 ish when it ended.
I have done five trials with a mage, and polymorph has "missed" all five times.
Input on this?
A hopeful rogue,
Kohes
PS: The mage wanted to test something. He spellstealed me (to put in combat), and then polymorphed. My character shook, so poly hit, but smeld canceled it. Smeld also instantly dropped combat.
PPS: tested with aimed shot. The aimed shot was in the air, and it missed. Same with a frostfire bolt by the mage. The mage used poly a second time, and it was on DR.
I am using smeld like you would vanish immune.
