Saw a lot of non-existant links, fistweaver set-ups in the armory listing... not what I want to play.

Basically looking at Health>Versatility>Healing in general

Looking for some upgrade ideas/suggestions?

Notes:
1) Gloves are imperfect right now... looking for an upgrade.

2) Deep Fathom ring just won't drop ... or is this good enough? BG Crate ring of the Quick/Adapt better?

3) After the next patch... will soulrender's greatcloak go up in item level and stats? debating about spending cash on a Geomancer Cloak, but don't want to if Soulrender's will just be better.

4) Waiting on a Durable Rod in the AH that has higher versatility than crit... don't want to waste cash on an imperfect one.

5) 2 piece fang seems meh to me... even after the patch... just balance druid/mm hunter feed set, IMO.

6) debating about getting alch, not sure about keeping the toon active.

7) Do not want a glass cannon fistweaver... been in to many games were other monks tell me my setup is bad and then they get balance druid 2 shot and whine then blame everything other than having 1500 hp and no veratility... I can also do without wanting to be a Goldshire duel hero.

8) Might get around to doing a shoulder glitch if I found the right shoulders.

I don't know a whole great deal about mw 29, but have you considered looking for a 2H weapon for fistweaving? The reason why is because at least at 20, the difference between a 1h and 2h is maybe about 50-60 autoattack damage which I find to be pretty significant. You'd most likely want a boe green (properly scaled staff of course) of quickblade, and then use ele force.

https://www.wowhead.com/item=2072/dwarven-magestaff is a good example. It has high dps compared to most 2H and you can find it in the proper affix. I'd normally recommend the staff from peak of serenity, but it's very lackluster for 29. Your current 1h/OH and coastal surge isn't bad if you find yourself in a situation where you have to spam more heals than damage, but just something to keep in mind. For mw (especially fistweaving), I've always found that vers/crit affixes are the best, because mw damage is very high, especially if you get crits on your teachings of the monastery.

To answer your question about the cloak, all dungeon blues and quest blues are receiving a flat ilvl increase when 8.1.5 hits, and the stats for that will increase to 5 int, 8 stam, 7 vers. No change in primary, but 1 more stam and 1 more vers. Just make sure that this is an item that you obtained AFTER patch 7.3.5 (when scaling was first implemented).

I agree with your preference over fang set. I feel as though 2 piece is maybe worth it if you're willing to do trade glitch on the pants as well. At 20 unfortunately there aren't many options, but I think I agree with your use of the bg boots/belt more.]

Edit: to add, I've always found that stat priority should be as follows: health pool that you prefer > int > vers > crit

Disregard what I said about the 2h, but everything else is still relevant. I would consider 2 piece fang (gloves/legs) because the int isn't bad, and I feel as though you aren't sacrificing any survivability by doing so, especially if you do trade glitch on pants.
