Separate geared lvl 80's from non-geared lvl 80's

With all the bullshit i read on the wow forums about twinks just existing in order to smash non twinks, I think that there should be a movement to separate players that put time into their characters and characters that don't do shit with their characters. This way people who don't give a fuck about level 80 content but have level 80s can enjoy battlegrounds without getting stomped by some douche who spends 40 hours a week raiding for gear.



This would be the exact same thing that they have done to twinks.

They "supposedly" implemented gear checks for WSG at all levels in patch 2.3, but it never worked.

Serious endgame PvP has always been about arena... In which they DO have gear checks (well, arena rating checks). I dont see how you can take PuG BGs seriously - theres usually little team work for a team based game.



Im not saying BGs arnt fun, but theyre not as competitive as arena - hence Blizzard hasnt done as much gear checking.

How exactly would you be able to do this with level 80's? Just doesn't make since because most of the people who ARE geared wouldn't pay a gold to play against other geared characters when they can just wtfroflstomp scrub 80's. Sounds more like a QQ thread then anything else.
