Rogue solo BRD coffer run

    • so ya, perfect 15/15 monkey atal'ai leggings finally dropped for me after about 150 runs...



    now i am working on the BRD coffers...



    and i have figured out a way to solo my way to the vault room, getting the relic coffer keys is a headache tho, i don't have a main on this server so...
     
    poke around in trade and you might find someone with a large surplus of coffer keys, a few of my friends had tons lying around from prison break runs back at 60, so it's definetly worth a shot.

    thanks....but i doubt that will happen considering i am on the lowest populated server in the US...
     
    man, i have opened about 40 coffers now i havn't even seen a blue drop yet

    if so, could you provide any information please...



    like, drop rate, etc.



    i basically farm the non-elite dwarves outside the instance and some elite dwarves inside the instance for keys, then stealth/vanish my way to the vault room, i have opened about 50 coffers so far, not even a blue drop...
     
    It's pretty much like ST Trolls/Drakes, but even worse. I predict you'll get about 1 per 100 keys, although that might vary to luck, etc. If you have gold, I'd recommend spamming trade for keys, I got about 1,000 keys that way from people getting rid of them. I personally had good luck getting the blues to drop, however they were absolutely worthless ones.

    have anything besides the obvious facts? i knew all the basic facts like half a year ago.



    have you done a lot of coffer runs?
     
    imo its not worth it for a rogue. the neck/ring are really good for classes that FC since they have gobs of sta. other than that its kinda an epeen thing....altho they might actually be BiS for every class come the xpac since raw stats --> other crap in the xpac, hmm...



    but if you're determined, then GL. crap arse drop rates on both, and even when a blue drops it'll prolly be "of spirit" (like the perfect spirit neck i got on my holy pally - lol), just as blizz's way of spitting in ur eye. imo farm BRD on ur lvl 80 assuming you have access, and get keys that way. other than that your S.O.L than solo farming like u do and spamming trade. should be easy to buy them since nobody uses em, just offer a bit more than vendor price and you should be golden.

    although i don't get to play any BG's considering that i don't play during peak hours...



    so i mise well kill my time with coffer runs don't you think?



    oh btw i don't have an 80 on this server nor do i have wotlk so no DK either...

    i think i got that....



    solo'd Atal'alarion <Guardian of the Idol> about 120 times for those monkey bracers (had 2 imperfect monkey and 2 imperfect attack power and 2 imperfect agility drop during that)



    and the 6 troll bosses about 150 times, had a perfect attack power and 3 imperfect monkey drop during that.



    the bad part about coffer grinding is getting the keys, they just don't drop...!
     
    i've been doing coffer runs a lot lately. got my eagle ring for my holy set and tiger/bear necks for my ret set. still working on getting an eagle neck. would also like a 9/8 eagle ring to replace my 8/8. anyway...



    i made a macro that pretty much says:



    /2 WTB Relic Coffer Key!! Paying 1g per key! Check your Keyring. Send in mail CoD or open trade @ IF AH Bridge!

    /y WTB Relic Coffer Key!! Paying 1g per key! These dropped in BRD you probably have some, check your keyring. Open trade @ AH bridge.

    i stand on the AH bridge in IF and spam this for an hour or so. usually gets me between 100 and 200 keys. that's at least 10 runs (more if you're looting mobs or killing any extra mobs).
     
    first blue, good news, it's perfect!



    bad news: it's ring, not necklace.



    worse news: it's "of concentration"



    worst news: i am a rogue.



    second blue dropped right after,
