Rogue or Druid?

Thinking about rolling a Rogue or Druid, looking for some opinions on PuG/Premade viability, positive/negative aspects, etc. For whatever reason, I just can't imagine Rogues being all too effective after they unleash their openers. Then again, I has no experience with either so it's pure speculation on my part at this point. Opinions? Also, if Arknoodle reads this, what's your Druid's name? I've read some great feedback of yours and wouldn't mind seeing your character.

Rogues have a higher skill cap than a druid. They simply are more "valuable". Not that druids are "invaluable" but If I had to choose between 2 druids and 2 rogues i'd take the 2 rogues.

However Druids are not useless either.

What spec were you thinking of going if u were to go druid?

Alrighty.

As a Feral druid you are a little restricted as far as skill cap goes.

As far as premading goes, there will always be a spot open to you no matter what spec/class you decide to go. Puging wise, a rogue would perform much better than a druid.

Some of the similar things about rogues and druids are, they get to choose their own battles. For example, Feral druids and Rogues are stealthers. If they decide to not get involved in a fight, they can stay stealthed. Vice versa.

Druids do not have any stuns(Ignoring warstomp) or silences. As far as slowing abilities, rogues crippling poison slows them down by 70% while druids are only at 25%. Feral Druids have an increase speed 30% while rogues have only a 10% increase speed while stealthed(druids will move faster no matter what). Rogues have shadowstep, which in the right hands can greatly increase ur skill cap if you know how to propperly use it. Rogues ambush normally will always crit and is their main opening burst dmg while feral druid's FB is just as strong(when it crits) and can be used outside of stealth. Rogues have sap. Druids have thorns. Rogues also have evasion and sprint....

In all, Rogues have a higher skill cap because of their silence, shadowstep, sap, evasion, sprint...etc etc. So in my personal opinion, a rogue would be more valuable than a feral druid.

I already know you've said balance and resto are a no no for you but as far as skill cap goes, Balance can go much higher than a Feral Druid. Balance has both better healing and a situationally better source of dmg than feral druids.

(speaking horde)

Since feral druids lack silences and stuns, they normally go Tauren for the AoE Stun; The extra ToT is very important. For resto/balance, you go Troll. If you planned on healing, I'd still urge you to go balance. By DoT spamming you proc your clearcasting which lets you use regrowth pretty frequently. And of course since ur balance ur spell power is high so your heals arent crap. When berserking/lb are not on CD, you can burst a target down pretty quickly if needed and when they are on CD, you DoT spam a large group of people to proc clearcast so you can use regrowth without ooming while spamming Rejuvenation on ur teammates. And when needed, thorns up a healer/fc/yourself when being focused. As a feral your thorns would be better but that's irrelevant, using thorns as a feral druid forces u out of cat form which is normally never good.

Dmg wise, a feral druid and boomkin would be neck-to-neck but a balance druid is also constantly offhealing while also able to do constant dmg. my 2 dots alone do 400-550 dmg depends on CDs/Zerking/Eclipse/Crits. When I go straight to Lumber Mill where 8 alliances are waiting for me,I can dish out some major DMG and Offhealing within seconds of a fight. That is one of the amazing things about playing a balance druid in this bracket.

But if your mind is fixed on Feral druid or Rogue, I would argue Rogues could achieve a much higher skill cap than a feral druid in Battlegrounds. But a Balance druid would come neck-to-neck to a rogue, if anything beyond them. But equally valuable.

I hope I covered everything, best of luck on your decision!

Depends on your play style, other than crowd control options with rogue, i find they play the same(and yes I play both in this bracket) I like druid more as i dont have to worry about saving energy for a kick to silence a healer as i take em down(although war stomp has a 2min CD)
