Ok, so i just found this wonderful website. i thought twinking had died for sure when pwndepot had it's final days. i can't say i've played since then but have been twinking since pre-BC on and off. everything about this new system with no experience sounds great. also cata looks intriguing to say the least, it seems more and more people will wander into our community.

Im thinking about starting again but unsure as to what/ where/ who/ blah...

I have been reading around and Ruin seems like the place to be. Hunters and Shamans (Warriors possibly?) -correct me if i'm wrong- seem to be the most played/ O.P classes now days from what i have read. Which classes will be needed/ are heaps of fun to play in a team? have been considering a mage/ priest/ warrior but what are people's thoughts? and which realm should i delve into (considering the local guild's recruitment status) ?

edit.. the new talent changes look awesome

1. Welcome. =)

2. The most OP class would probably have to be... (oh sorry can't give that one away) =/

3. Every class is needed for heaps of fun in WSG.

4. If you want your twink to be a healer ready for Cataclysm I'd suggest picking Shaman, Priest, maybe Druid.

5. For finding a guild use World of Warcraft - English (NA) Forums -> >New< Official 19 Guild Directory.

Hope this helped. If you have any more questions, or if I didn't answer them all, ask away! =)

I have a warrior, rogue, mage, and shaman at 19 and by far warrior is the most fun to play in warsong. It somewhat depends on what role you want to fill though, if you enjoy playing support go mage, if you want to be a healer I would say priest would probably be the most fun, for melee go warrior imo, and warlock is really the only real caster DPS atm but that will change in cata

Hey twinkin, thanks.

I've noticed in some of the guild statements, they say certain classes are needed more. I'm just looking for some sort of indication for class balances - eg. whether there are generally more hunters than druids in a match. i don't actually play yet and have no feel for what wsg is like now days and want to contribute to the community.

Are healers scarce? A healer could be fun

Hey Rivfader, thanks for the help.

A warrior does sound very tempting, are there lots of warriors around though? I remember about a year ago playing a hunter wasn't as exciting because of the amount of hunters already occupying the field. A Priest also sounds good. I think i'm looking for a class with Multiple roles i could switch between

dont make a hunter or rogue. we have enough of them. the classes listed on the guild page are what those guilds need for premades not what the bracket needs.

Thanks,

What classes do you believe the bracket needs?

Sorry, I was assuming he was talking about premading since he said "heaps of fun to play in a team".

Reading through all your posts I think you want a Druid or a Shaman mainly a Druid though.

Pugs need FC's, you can make an FC and a SP set. And be great heals while being a great FC when your group needs one. Coming Cata your SP set will help you with some nice Balance DMG maybe if you spec into that.

I guess you can't expect to always play in a pre-made, but yeah i'm guessing there are similarities to what classes guilds need and the community needs.
