Refunding Faction change.

Is there a way of getting a refund on faction changes, but KEEPING your characters gear in the process.

I have tried it in the past, but the GM just restores my character to what it was before I originally completed the faction change, thus reversing all the gear I got.

I read on here (can't remember which thread) that some people managed to do it.

When I did it, the GM asked me wether I wanted to restore my character the way it was before, or just faction xfer again back, keeping everything I've done. I think it depends on the GM you get, and wether he catches you online or not. Best way to do it (I think) is to stay online untill he reaches you (that's what I did) or do it via live chat.

Like, did you say you just say you didn't want the change and would like a refund?
If it's protocol for blizzard to refund you and perform another faction change back it'd be good to know under what reason they would do this.

Artonkn had a very nice GM tho Buuuuuut don't overuse this, as then they become suspicious, etc etc etc.

It was during the sale where it was half price, plan was to go there and back for £20 (usually the cost of one). After buying the first I realized when the 3 day timer is up, the sale would be over, so my ticket was asking if I could have the second faction change at the half price value of the sale. (£10). And I did end up getting the original purchase back as well as being sent back. But as Whatgoesup said, it doesn't always work (even if you use an excuse of low faction population or some shit). And the second time I tried they sent me back (like before) but didn't refund original purchase. They also told Whatgoesup when he did it that he had 6 months before he could ever get a refund again, my second time was before 6 months, so that was probably why. Even so, no 100% way to be sure, and I have heard of some GMs reverting your character back, rather than initiating a faction change as I had.
