Been working on a project on and off that I figured I'd take to a more organized level.
The basic idea is to raid TBC content with a minimum amount of players. I've been doing this on a small scale with a couple of people I already know. I enjoy it a great deal since it gives me a chance to raid great content that I adore to no end (the raids are the reason I have a 70 twink) in a non-trivial, but relaxed, manner.
It's been very low key so far, and as such hasn't resulted in more than lower tier raids (4-man Maulgar, 3-man Gruul, 2-man ZA timed etc.). If a couple of people showed interest, the plan is to try out BT with a small group (5-7 I imagine).
The whole thing would go on in a relaxed manner in regards to time frames. "Raids" would be planned and conducted one by one, whenever people had time (it doesn't have to be in the evenings). All that's required is a fair level of mastery and knowledge of your class, coupled with raiding experience. It doesn't necessarily have to be Rank 50 kills, but it's unlikely that anybody with a subpar raiding track record would be cut out for this.
By no means is this difficult or challenging in the traditional sense of the word, that which is thrown around so lightly on WoW forums. It can present a challenge from time to time, and the reason I enjoy it is the coupling of practical execution with planning required. 3- or 4-manning a 25-man raid boss sometimes requires one to think unconventionally and put certain class abilities to use in order to overcome mechanics designed for a larger raid - using a tactic you thought up yourself and can't read on some website. Thus, I wouldn't describe it as hard, but rather a fun challenge.
