Questions on quest item swaping.

My mage is completely grandfather less, with the exception being his Seal of Wyrnn, which is not even best in slot. I had always heard of people making tickets and some how swaping grandfathered quest gear for other grandfathered gear, however I never really looked into it. Now im stuck wondering if blizzard still does this and if so what the best way to go about doing this would be.

Another question that im to lazy to make a seprate thread for is how do you Xfer a character cross accounts if the accounts are not under the same name?

Gamemasters can no longer give quest items back. nor exchange them..

Wont help you on the other thing, since im not 100% sure and i might end up screwing up things..

But i can tell you that you cant put the 'new' char onto your MAIN account, only under your Bnet account, so you would end up paying 2accs a month..

sorry my question, but:

What is a "grandfather" item? I read it all the time here, but i cannot understood (english is not my first language), please someone can tell me?

It is a loose term, however.

There was a time when 19s could use the fishing boots from STV contest, and when they were made into a req level 35 item, people that had them on could still use them. The thing is, they were classified as "broken" so provided no benefit. Technically they were "grandfathered" as you could keep them equipped, but there was no point in doing so.

Also, 450 skills were grandfathered. If you had 450 mining, you could still use the daily transmute, but the stamina benefit was made a level requirement. Technically you would have had a better benefit of having 50 mining because of the slight health increase over the 0 that 450 gave you.

Most of the time having something grandfathered is good, with an item like Jutebraid Gloves being BiS, but no longer obtainable in game. But for instance the people that farmed 450 herbing put a lot of effort in it, with just an achievement to show for it.

hmm great peoples, now i can understood what is it, i was thinking someone about heirlooms lol, how i was wrong!

My main hunter have the epic bow Rhok'delar, Bow of Ancient Keepers, but the unique bonus is to transmog at this days, but my twinks, don´t have nothing! lol
