Question about weapon swapping with Macros

Hi ppl, asking a question about macro'ing.



If I have Crystal Spire of Karabor and the Hammer of Sanctification, could I make a macro linking my Healing Surge to have it where I equip the Crystal Spire immediately before the cast, to then where when I cast say "Flame Shock" it would automatically equip the Hammer of Sanctification before cast.



I'm just curious if theres a global cooldown when swapping weapons or not.

I was just curious if i could hit my Healing Surge and it would smoothlessly switch to the Crystal Spire, then smoothlessly switch back to the Hammer when I start dps'ing again

I think Araura might be incorrect, i just tested this on a boar - it has a gcd, but it's on a seperate gcd to those of your spells, for me it was on a gcd with wand and nothing else.
