Prot Specs not able to que Arena in 5.4

I heard some rumours about protection specs not being able to que arena in 5.4. Can anyone confirm this that it's just rumours or is it actually true.
 
This is true, protection specs won't be able to enter rated arena games..

wait, im confused

has anyone actually tried queuing arenas as prot? what happens, is your partner(s) still able to enter but you arent?

this is really odd i hope blizzard fixes this soon

Well, It's a matter of time people went Ret. Maybe the re-rolls will learn how to use the class properly besides tossing a shield and harsh word.

Wat? I'd prefer that Cataclysm mages remained a thing of the past >.>
 
This is a good change but sadly the bracket is going to be even more volatile to just die completely now. as everyone who plays a tank spec is going to quit.
 
So is it just random rumours - or have anyone actually some proves that it is true, you can't play prot in arena in patch 5,4?
 
They are removing mastery from mages, and buffing icelance damage with like 50%, gonna be back to cataclysm days.

Still rather have, a mage doing 2 icelances for me to die than playing vs a prot.
 
Woop, I can go back to ret without getting global'ed by prots, lets hope this goes live, any source btw?
