Prot Paladin Spell Coefficients and Scaling

Firstly,

http://www.wowhead.com/spell=31935

This can miss, therefore it is not a "spell" (you get 8% spellhit from Touched by the Light). It is therefore a ranged-melee attack that does Holy Damage. (zzz) But wait, if i'm casting a heal and get interupted I get locked out of AS. This means it's a holy-range-melee attack. (Confirmed: hitting a sitting target -> crit 100%)

So what does it scale with?

the best info I can find is that Avenger's shield has a 70% AP coefficient and a 70% SP coefficient, meaning that it scales with both. This information could be outdated.

Now i dunno what he's on about 70% Here http://www.wowwiki.c...wer_coefficient it says 7%? I don't really get it. (It's outdated)

Eitherway let's just make my next assumptions a sort of hypothesis based on the fact that both sp and str increase the damage of some paladin abilities. I've been completely distracted as to the original point of this post. So i'm going to finish with what I'm getting at.

I'm planning on changing some stam + str (crit/hit/resil) items into stam + int (crit/hit/resil) items. This way I get more mana (for heals.. obviously?) as well as bigger heals, whilst still gemming str.

Is this a good idea.

Thanks.

Love you all.

Peace and harmory.

Edit: I realise there is no "Secondly,"

Seen some prot + prot 2v2 teams do somethign like it.

No idea if it works, try it!

if it was unto my understanding, prot and ret both get spell power benefits from AP. i could be wrong about prot though.

Yeah so purely for damage strength is better I belive...

60% of str becomes SP.

But it seems some people switch into some int for an extra 1 or 2k mana in arena...

Socketing intellect gems into the gear doesn't sound likea good idea, or very needed for that matter since prot paladins have no mana issues since regeneration is so fast due to judgements.
