Polished breastplate of valor V.S. Blackened Defias Armor

I'm going with valor on my paladin. Loss of a few stam, but armor increase by far and some strength never hurts for blocking.

I would go for the BoA (you lose 4 stam, but you gain str/crit/armor)

BDA has more stamina and 4stre+3agi > 7stre. So in the end is up to armor vs stats. Id say depends how much hp/armor you already have but generally, Id go for BDA.

that 6 crit is good to have, EVEN as a FC :p

But I think Druids are gonna be takeing over the Main roll for FC in 3.2. Well from I think anyways.

Shamans are gonna be a close second.

And hell, even hunters with Cheetah + spider pet.... Just web anyone who gets by you xD

Losing 4 stam is somewhat, if not completely, offset with over 100 more armor. I know armor isn't really a sexy stat, but with all the hunters and rogues, it does give a good amount of effective health in large quantities.

Losing 3 agility for 3 strength...the strength will give you 1.5 additional block value so it does provide some defense, and the dodge from agility will be getting nerfed. The strength is a lot more offensive.

If those were the only differences, I'd call it a slight bit in favor for the BDA, but wouldn't fault someone for going with the BoA.

Add the 6 crit to the BoA and I see it as the clear winner. If your attacker dies faster, you don't need as many defensive stats.

I agree, Although I will still have a stam set for getting flag across mid I will most likely give up the flag to a capable druid or shammy for a fast return. I've been working on my ret and healing sets recently to prepare for the changes. IMO mail chest will be superior due to the crit and armor. 6 crit rating is about 2% increased chance!!

Your not including Shamans!

Ghostwolf is dispellable and doesnt break snares which seriously hinders shamans as fcs.

In terms of offensive comparison 6 crit rating is roughly equal to 12 agility. So as you alluded to you would only be losing the defensive stats that agility provides (ie 6 armor and some small amount of dodge). I think the biggest loss is the 4 stam but since pallies and warriors will play less of an FC role in 3.2 I think BoA is a slight favorite.

You expect PuGs to know this? Any PuG is completely fucked over when a Shaman goes Ghost Wolf. However, for serious play, Druids.
