Parachute Cloak: PvP power vs Agility? Rogue question.

I have a question for you all. I have two parachute cloaks in my inventory that I'm both keeping. One has 16 PvP power whereas the other has 12 agility.

Looking at rogue armories, most rogues have the PvP power enchant, but I raise this arguement. Though the PvP power enchant is a raise in attack power in PvP against player targets, since it gives 6 more damage whereas the agility gives 2 more damage, the agility also gives two more dodge and crit. Albeit not a lot, being able to crit more often will do more damage than a 6 damage boost, no?

I may be completely going full retard here, but this is a valid concern of mine. DEBATE. >:D

No contest - PvP power.

I am pretty sure that your character page doesn't say that 16 pvp power increases your damage by 6.

ive been debating this too where as the difference between 16 pvp power and 12agi is small

this may sound stupid but how does 16 pvp power vs 12agi scale with for example 5stacks FC?

does the 6.5% dmg x 50% better than 12agi vs a 5stack FC?

PvP damage, yes. You ignore 6.5% of resilience, so it's practically 6 damage in PvP.
I really hope that you are kidding.

If one enchant does more damage at zero stacks then it does more damage at X stacks aswell. The stacks just increase the gap.

PvP Power:
Increases damage done to players
and their pets or minions, and
increases healing done in PvP zones
and outdoors.

Without 16 PvP power enchant:
Power: 0
+0.00% damage

WITH 16 PvP power enchant
Power: 16
+6.53 damage

Unless Blizzard changed the meanings of words around, which is unlikely because it would cause mass confusion, from what I am aware, PvP power is a damage increase in PvP as it ignores a certain percentage of resilience. In PvP, resilience is effectively health, thus PvP power is a 6.53 damage increases.

You are familiar with the term "percentage" I hope.

16 PvP Power is 6.5% damage (& healing)

Assuming a well geared sub-Rogue, 12 agi is roughly:
2.2% damage and...
1.5% crit, also roughly = 1.5% dmg for a total of 3.7% dmg and...
1.95% dodge

Since dodge is frontal only and physical-only, most would weigh dodge accordingly. I weigh mitigation higher than damage, but dodge as less than or equal to damage due to it's limitations. Given PvP power adds to self-healing (Recuperate) too, PvP power is the clear winner.
