Paladin with Shadowfang, worth it?

Is it really worth getting Shadowfang for a Paladin as their main hand? I noticed on the 19 twink info recompiled it was listed but have heard others I know say that it may not really be worth it and there is better choices. What do you think?

Not worth it for a pally in my opinion, it is not best in slot for FC or healing which are the pallies main roles. I will probably get one eventually but it will just be a vanity item (ok, I mean I would probably use it sometimes.)

When I made this paladin, my goal was BATTLE HEALER! I wanted light damage and could toss a heal when needed. Without leg kits though, people drop so fast I might go back to lifestealing or something.

Too common, when I make twinks I like to be unique some how. Also, I always want the best build for 1vs1.

I guess if you could make an argument that SF with 22int would be the most balanced in terms of damage and healing capabilites. Interesting choice definately unique. I should make a battle mage with SF+30spellpower to take down hunters at close range.



I like the concept of gearing for battle healer says a lot about your play style (maximizing the support to your team).

Just a question about sf!I'm now doing an ap pally!She will have around 300 ap unbuff!And i had a question if i choose sf wich enchant would be the best?i thought of +15 strengh to go to 330ap un buff!Or crusader!

What do you think?

Doesn't really matter, AP Pala is completely worthless and SF can't make it work anyway, neither can any specific weapon enchant.

What about having a macro for equipping SF and starting auto attack on your mage. This way you can have a better casting weapon equipped until you start autoattacking? Or on your paladin ofc.

You can't run and wand at the same time. Also, if they go out of LOS then you can't wand them. =\

Fair enough, I'm still not convinced meleeing people on a mage, instead of doing your true job, is a good idea.

Gr1pp is just patronizing everyone IMO. What you said to the person about the AP pally was a completely asinine response. Something a little more constructive and less flamish would have been more mature and apropriate. I suppose in a way running around a hunter on a mage and melee'ing him while casting arcane exp and fire blast might work so as to keep them in melee range and minimize damage, but I highly doubt its effectiveness. Having SF for lulz is awesome though. That's like my 70 hunter having caster gear to piss people off.

I think an AP gear set is ok for a pally. For pallies, Spec and to a lesser extent glyphs kinda dictate the effectiveness of your AP set. Keep in mind that 1 str = 2 AP. So all out Str gear is what you are aiming for. You can make a very nice set for some nice crits and a key flag return.



I have a Str/Ap set and I also have a Str/Ap/Haste (+36haste) set. I swear the haste is worth it sometimes.



Instead of shadowfang I suggest a good solid 2H

Show me that you've tested this, and/or actually play a 19 pally and I'll agree with you. With 5/5 Seals of the Pure, 5/5 Divine str and a str/ag/stam AP build you can easily have plenty of burst damage in tune with other classes. Toss in smite's with crusader and your judgements are taking a heavy bonus from that added 200 ap when crusader is proc'd. Then throw in the glyph of judgement and that's even more damage. My 19 pally isn't even nearly fully twinked and I'm running something along those lines, minus crusader, and I can easily kill and/or out damage equally or better geared warriors and even some hunters while also providing support for the fc with off heals and HoF. I'm getting white crits of 210+ and I have the sin'dorei warblade quest reward 2H. Go back to your cookie cutter bullshit if you have nothing constructive imo...
