Ore's Appearance (19's BTB to f2p)

Orebrb

Legend
Just started in this bracket might be here to stay until 19's boom again, seems like it has a lot of potential don't get me wrong. But i've never seen so many garbage players in my life. I've seen kids achieve the rank under Mindless Tink

Anyways i'll probably be making guides to help out cause even gearing wise, it seems like the bracket needs people to guide them out properly. I will be bringing some fellow 19's to the f2p bracket to see if you guys can really compete and yes we will be premading. A lot of construction has to be done to this bracket to make it as respectable as a Tink bracket that anyone can play in without worrying about having to F-Change every patch to make your twink Bis or X-fering to the right server for guild/player activity etc... should be.

Props to Yasueh very impressive addon you made and basically keeps the bracket running entirely on it so here's my "thanks". On that note though working off of his idea some type of F2p guild creation addon should be the first idea on the table if anyone is willing too. With guild creation comes Teams- Competitiveness -reason to be best - Dedication to get BETTER which is what this bracket lacks from the bottom up.

My advice can be overlooked but we will be group queueing and dominating with the help of finding fellow p2p's to help us, which I hear some creation of a Bott has been made to accomplish that which would be fantastic. But we will be starting our main F2p characters on Horde so whoever thinks they can field 10 respectable Alliance players PM me because our players will be Geared shortly.

Nice, welcome to the free to play bracket. The 19s are in a mess , so I choose not to play anymore.

Lolololololol fail

yeah...welcome to the community. I like the superior-than-thou tone to your post.

Don't hold your breath for a 19 boom. 19's are dying. There's only two ways 19's would ever come back:
  1. They knock all the f2p accounts down to 15 and make that the new cap (ain't gonna happen).
  2. They stop the whole f2p program (maybe, but again, don't hold your breath).

Here's where i think you're confused...this "bracket" isn't really a twink bracket...there's just a lot of twinks in it. The attraction for most people to 19 was twinking and everything that goes along with it. The attraction for most people to 20 is its free. MASSIVE difference. A decent percentage of the people who play @20 do so because its free and they enjoy the game (moi), not because they have a toon they're dead-set on maxing out. With that comes casuals who don't have the time or desire to grind a hat, churn out enchants, or even bother setting up macros. The under-geared & under-performing players are part of the bracket.

I welcome the concept of improving general competetive play by an influx of more experienced twinks but dread the douchebaggery that is to follow.

My only advise to you Ore is do not try to make this in an image of 19s - it will never be. I don't say that to be arrogant just to save you some head-pounding-against-the-wall. People play in this bracket for very different reasons and, on the whole, are far more casual. Read: many people are poorly geared and suck at PvP, and have little interest in improving, and are here just to have fun. AP hosts the majority of the active exceptions I'd wager. I'm not saying it's better or worse; just a different crowd.

I look forward to facing/fighting you and yours.

agree completely. i'd say on a typical game, somewhere between 25-50% of the players on my team don't have a neckpiece, hat, rings, or trinkets (i mean, they have NONE of those)...and aren't particularly compelled to find them. Most of them don't suck, its just neither their goal nor their priority.

Realizing twinks are less common than toons<1000HP is just a reality of the bracket (save AP) and will save some aggravation. (hard to remember sometimes, even I get a little bent out of shape when a game is down to the wire and we're in a hold position, yet the 600HP toon won't give the pally the flag).

LOL I need start inspecting more before the logs drop for pre-match entertainment

yeah there's a lot of garbage players, most of the good twink players left a long time ago. but if you played any twinks back when they were starting out, it was just like this. bad players everywhere, imperfect gear all over the place, etc. but over time people learn how to play. the community has a huge backing to it, it really does remind me of old school 19s. people will get better.

Well, I'm not BiS yet. Bracers and Gloves from BFD are still on the farm list, but due to family stuff, it's easier to get a spare half hour for a WSG than an hour for a BFD run if its a bad group.

And well, LFH...

At least as rogue it's much easier to still be an asset to your team when not BiS. Chain sapping EFC's healer only takes a weapon

19s were way harder to gear anyways, it literally took years before anyone knew what BiS was

Welcome to the community. As has been said before, this is definitely going to be a change of pace for you. However I've played 19s, 39s, 60s, 70s, etc and 20 is the most fun I've had in ages. So despite the baddies you get in groups (and yes, they're quite frequent, ask anyone who premades with me, I rage a LOT in /bg)... You'll have fun here.

Also Aerie Peak is probably the exception to the baddies. I mean we have some, but it seems that we have more competent players than we do casuals/noobs. Horde 20s probably would benefit greatly from having you & friends there, so please start premading so I don't have to play against horde 24s as often!

I don't even understand your post Judas. Horde does premades 24/7. How would having another one improve your chances of not getting rolled? Not to mention, I'd say Horde has way more players than Alliance that know what they are doing. Alliance has a nucleus of like 5, but since no one talks to each other (AT ALL) no one seems to have the opportunity to get better.

@Druiddroid - not to mention having to care about exp. I never even got Inferno Robe on my mage (one of the reasons I quit) because I just did not have the exp for it.
