Only the race daily quest requires flying, so yes.

You can reach exalted, but you can't learn any of the mounts they give you as quest reward (cannot learn until level 35), which is BONKERS to me.

I would suggest doing the fishing and cooking dailies to double it up with angler rep gain. 10/10. And don't forget to buy Grand Commendation once you hit revered for 100% bonus rep for Rev --> Exalted farm.

It's possible, I have it done on my main twink, even if you cant learn them, they are a 750g item that can be sold, so its rather good for gold storage.
