Hey all,
I'm popping in to ask you fine folks for some advice. I'm thinking of coming back into WoW for a bit and doing some 19 twinking. For my history I've pvp' d as rogue 19, 29, 49[to Stone Guard], 60[vanilla], and 70[tbc] Mage at 39, 59, and 60[vanilla] warrior at 19, priest at 49 and 49 Holy Pally [14k kills] this was all pre 2009. It's been awhile. Now I'm gearing up a 19 priest and while I'm farming the ore for engineering I figured I'd just get twice as much do I can make a second 19, I like to have options. Currently I'm leaning between druid and shaman. I like healing, I can't justify another rogue, I like the idea of a hybrid class with a travel ability, I already have Gloves of the Gang.

Basically what I'm asking is for people to help me out with why they like or dislike either of those options. I'm not looking for which is the best, just why/what you like about either. I'm also open to other class options if someone has a compelling reason.

Thanks in advance everyone. Enjoy yourselves out there.

Well, I more or less only play on my Druid (Boomkin) these days because it feels like a very rewarding spec to master. The very first thing to note is that Boomkin is one of the few specs in the bracket with more than 3 buttons to keep track of, with all the forms, the dots, the casts, the heal and of course the big numbers in Starsurge. I enjoy it because I truly enjoy the versatility of the spec, you can be a big-damage spammer in midfights, you can FC, you can hunt FCs, you can cover the entirety of Arathi Basin/EotS much faster than anyone else and having stealth to have an easier time creeping behind enemy lines.

The spec in and of itself also never feels useless or pointless. Any pugs or warteams or whatever greatly appreciates having one, because it's by far the best objective-play spec in the bracket.

Also it's fun to Starsurge things for big, big damage with berserker buff up.
