Ok you talked me into it

I thought to myself "surely getting the +4 agi gems through pvp wont be so bad" did a random BG, it is every bit the dumpster fire I have read about on here. Nothing but a 1-2 shot circle jerk. So having said that, I used to be anti speed gemming/chanting, but now I will just so I don't have to go through all of that. Shadowlands JC yes?

I play Vet accounts rather than pure F2P. It's just too useful and a massive, massive timesaver. Here's another example how.

I geared out a 20 Shaman with +4 Int gems the other day by... just transferring Honor, taking the loss and buying the bags of 5 Marks of Honor for 2000 Honor. Do I PvP? Hell, no. I couldn't be less interested. I get all my Honor (and MoHs for that matter) from Comp Stomp.

If that's not your thing, the problem is that the BG brackets don't really work out in favor of twinks. Twinks will generally be 10, 11 or 20. Maybe 12-13 if you're a druid (if you want Prowl). That's less than ideal in the 10-19 and 20-29 brackets.

For pure F2P, SL gems are pretty easy to get. Unfortunately you can't get the https://www.wowhead.com/item=173125/revitalizing-jewel-doublet because even at Exalted rep with the Court of Harvesters it's over the 1000 gold cap.

Not 100% sure if this works as pure F2P, but if you gear up your followers in Legion you can get missions that give marks as bonus gear. I'll occasionally send a toon to see if they have the relevant mission up. It's slow, but at least it's marks without butting your head against a wall.

i dont know how long youve played, but you might have honor on other characters that you dont remember and can just transfer, even to a f2p character. that happened to me. so yea just check if transferring honor gives you any old toons toleech off of.

Maybe I'm misremembering or maybe it's changed but I thought this option was level-gated (to 45?). This is what I used to use for MoHs before Comp Stomp.

Basically, you want to start your Legion class hall quest line. There's a point where I think you have 5 (?) ilvl 900 followers a mission will appear. The bonus reward (meaning you need over 100% to have a chance and 200% to guarantee it) will be a Mark of Honor. The main reward is an item that'll give you a quest to win a BG. YOU NEED TO DELETE THIS ITEM AND NEVER COMPLETE THE QUEST. If the item is still in your inventory, you won't get offered the quest again. If you complete the quest, you'll NEVER get the quest again.

Assuming you do all that, every 2 weeks from the day you first got the quest, it will reappear in your class hall. It stays up for a few days. I'm not sure how long exactly. Oh and by "day" I mean the period between 2 WoW resets, which is 8am PDT in NA.

Getting order hall resources to fund these missions is kind of a pain at low level because Argus WQs hand out resources like candy (often 1000+ from killing one NPC). But that's not an option at low level. I believe you still need to be level 45 for Argus and Legion WQs in general.

What is an option if you can get someone to carry you is Legion invasions. These are up for 6 hours then down for 12 hours and rotate through the 4 main Legion zones (not Suramar).

Generally Honor resets every expansion.

But yes, in the era of currency transfer, transferring Honor from another toon to buy MoHs is absolutely the best way. You take a hit on the transfer but it's still worth it.

Try to loot https://www.wowhead.com/object=385216 in DF warmode open world, each one gives +150 honor and you can loot there https://www.wowhead.com/currency=2123 , https://www.wowhead.com/item=190451/ and some valuable trash for extra gold if you need some. War supplies appears every hour or so, if there are many people around and you have problems with that use chromie time + warmode. You can buy https://www.wowhead.com/item=185834 with 5 https://www.wowhead.com/item=137642 inside for 2000 honor in DF or SL capital city.
You can also hunt down some players in DF warmode and queue arena for extra honor. 16 honor points for each honourable kill in world PvP and 20-50...ish honor for arena skirmish.

best way imo to get MOH is roll some disposable leveling twinks. do several both factions

drak race are fully geared at 10, recommend hunter, from 10 to 13 you will be weak until you get rapid fire

other races at 10 go to MOP hafhill village vendor sells best gear for 10s, at 16 go to binan village for 72 year that carries to 20
get initial gold doing intro skip to legion expac both factions, alliance kill critho

at 20 before you delete, log player that needs the honor and transfer it

In case anyone isn't familiar, let me explain how you can use layering and phasing for fun and profit. And, in this case, for avoiding other people while PvP flagged.

Every realm has 4 "layers". At least that's what I call them. Some call this "phasing". I don't like that name because phasing means advancing your toon's game state such that portals appear and other world changes happen because of quests you've done, etc. The four layers are:
  1. CT ("Chromie Time") off, WM ("War mode") off
  2. CT off, WM on
  3. CT on, WM off
  4. CT on, WM on
You will never see people from a different layer. 71+ toons can get to CT layers with Party Sync to someone in CT but they'll scale. The advantage of doing PvP activities in a CT layer is you can't et one shot by a belligerent 80 and you won't tend to see people in CT layers who aren't levelling. It's just less populated.

So for MoP Remix, for example, Blizzard implemented that by creating a 5th "layer", just for Remix. This is how you were on the exact same realm but never saw anyone from non-Remix Retail. if you escaped Pandaria (which you could), you could go to SW/Org and not see another player. Because you were on a separate layer.

But there's more. There's a thing called "Connected realms". if two realms are connected, they're the exact same realm. Just some people have longer names you have to type. These are probably hte result of low-pop realm merges from the past. For example, Ravenholdt-US and Maelstrom-US are connected. You can do personal crafting orders and everything. You will be in the same zones. With cross-realm grouping and guilds there's fewer and fewer differences between connected and unconnected realms.

Additionally, there's CRZ ("Cross-realm zones"). These are groups of connected realms that will tend to run into each other in the open world. So if you're doing Legion WQs and need to kill some rare, you'll probably arrive just as someone else killed it because that's how sharding works. Shards tend to be within the CRZ. I think these were strict boundaries at one point and may not apply anymore because I've certainly seen people outside of my CRZs. It may depend on the area and other factors.

But here's the big one: RP and non-RP realms don't mix. You won't randomly run into someone from the other type of realm. Cross-realm grouping can bring someone onto what is otherwise an RP realm.

So why did I explain all this? Because CT on, WM on on a low-pop connected RP realm is where you want to be if you want to level or quest and not be bothered.

So, for example, when I was farming Adventurer of Nazjatar, I used a max level toon with WM on on a low-pop RP realm to get "free" Nazjatar Battle Commendations.

Now you need to be level 20+ to activate WM. If I were going to farm PvP WQs, chests, etc, I'd start a toon on a low-pop RP connected realm and go into CT. You can try this with WM on (if you're 20+) or off. You can get good reasults with each.
