No more BoA mog?

Today I tried several times to mog my Stained Shadowcraft Spaulders into Hive Controller Mantle, but everytime I sent them from my 85 belf to my nelf rogue, the mog dissappeared? The same happened with my Scarlet Kris and another quest rewarded dagger..

Can't you mog your BoA's into quest items anymore?

if you got this transmog on your chars, is it ok if you classify them as grandfathered? I think so

Nevertheless it is not obtainable/doable anymore and therefore grandfathered.
