new to twinking

Hi, well im new to twinking and i have some questions

1) how do battle groups work (like cyclone and nightfall and so on)-im on cyclone

2) is the 40-49 brackets good? because i wanted to twink here =)

3) can anyone suggest a class because i cant decide

-i wanted to make a mage but i noticed how theres like 10000 twink hunters so if i made a mage then i would die before i even get a spell cast(can someone on cyclone confirm the hunter #)

-then i thought i would go paladin but they dont get sader strike till lvl 50 so it would get boring spamming judgments

-then i thought arms warrior but they dont get much rage(because that talent for 25% more rage is lvl 50 so...), people said fury wasnt that good

-then i thought enh shaman but idk if there good or not

Welcome to 49s.

If youre in cyclone you will play the other servers in that battlegroup. I do not know them all, but you can check a realm list on the wow forums.

Cyclone has a fairly active 49 bracket. Its one of the most competitive pvp brackets in the game.

As far as class goes it all personal preference. Each class will have its downsides. I personally play a balance druid and have sooo much fun. I also have a paladin and even without crusader strike, you do tons of damage. Paladins are one of the best 49 classes atm. Fury warriors are great if played correctly. If you dont think you can get the rage, then go arms or prot. I generate alot of rage on my arms warrior while still be able to 3 shot twinks. (if everything crits of course) Prot is not really the new craze, but with the recent patch changes, prot warriors can deal out alot of damage and keep their survivablity.

I am not on cyclone, but hunter is a widely played twink for all levels. There will likely be 2-3 in each bg you do.

Hope that at least somewhat helped. Feel free to ask more questions. Good luck.

Correct is the information above, but lets clarify.

The 'Battle Groups' are groupings of servers, all servers in your grouping get thrown into ques when you go into 'Battle Grounds' and 'Arenas'. Currentlly there are 13 'Battle Groups'. Each with around 10-15 servers.

Cyclone consists of the Realms Azjol-Nerub, Bloodscalp, Blouderfist, Bronzebeard, Crushridge, Daggerspine, Darkspear, Draenor, Dragonblight, Dunemaul, Feathermoon, Perenolde, Stonemaul, Stormscale, Suramar, & Uldum.

The 49 bracket overall is considered a 'Burst Bracket' meaning people do much more damage than the health point ratio balance. (In other words, you can die quickly).

Picking a class is all about preference my man, w/e you feel like you would enjoy playing.

Personally I have played a 49 frost mage and 49 druid, both fun...but at the same time I could die very quickly.

hmm i may go with paladin because the whole holy warrior thing sounds cool

If you gear correctly, and put some time into your class... any class is just as viable as the next. Playing it wisely with good field awareness is key. If you already think you will be bored with Paladin, you probably will be lol - not everyone likes pally for sure, i think it takes a certain person to enjoy this class (ive played one for 4 years as my raiding main as well as twink). I think Pally's do fantastic dmg as ret, can have amazing survivability as prot and heal like mad with holy... there are other class that can also do those things that are probably more fun.

I can recommend a Druid maybe, Boomkins are starting to be seen more... and they do some great dmg, with great survivability... HoT's... Mmmm

If you wanna be OP in the 49 bracket..BM Hunters can be played without a 2nd though and kill any one.

Rogues are just as easy, this is when stun locks start...unless your twinked with a decent amount of hp, you can die before time is up.

Paladins are pretty good here from what I've seen.

BM hunters are top tier here, especially with their red pet up. If they lose a 1v1 in that situation, they deserve to delete their toon.

Everyone else kind of groups down after that. All DPS classes are very viable here. Some are classes which left alone will deal too much damage to deal with. The most durable of the DPS classes is probably Paladin. They can do great damage under fire.

Awesome, well if you know what your in for, you may enjoy it :D I know some people who rolled pallies recently who dont have any experience with them before hand and they say "omg paladin is so god damn boring... all i do is auto attack and judge shit, where the hell are all the attack specials!"

My main is a paladin... 4 yrs now. I just love the class, main, twink.. doesnt matter.

49 ret paladins are easy... You could seriously roll your face across the keys and win. lol

Stun, Judge, autoattack, HOJ, WIN!!!

And then if you can't be bothered doing that just tab target non stop spamming HOJ.... you will top KBS easy.

But all joking aside most Ret paladins in our battle group don't even play them to their potential.

Yes they have some great burst dps but they still bring a huge amount of utility to the BG. Heals... crappy, but heals when it is needed, lay on of hands, dispell, buffs and auras, blessings (freedom)

There is so much you can do... the guys that you hear that get bored with paladin are the ones that should be playing Enhancement shammans or rogues... they want to 2 shot pew pew everything and do nothing else.

Ret Paladins have come a long way and at 49 you definately would not miss crusader strike. They pew pew enough with out it.
