New to the forums (and twinking)

Well i have recently started twinking a 29 rogue. My main is a 80 rogue who i've played forever so i figured i would do it just for fun. He has 6 BOA items and petrospills/tigerstrike/9+9 pathfinders etc. So I am pretty hardcore in anything I put my time towards.



I play on korgath (vengeance) and it seems like there is a fairly active 49 bracket. I am planning on rolling a healer most likely, have been thinking priest or resto shaman(seem rare).



I wont play a paladin, and i might play a druid.



I guess i am just hoping for some suggestions on which i should play in the 49s.

Try a 49 ele shaman, make sure u buy the green dragonscale chest and legs already now, since they're gettin buffed for 49. and Try to get a staff, cause not so many good 1h wep + shield for ele shammy in 49
 
you can play any class at any bracket, TBH. some might be better than others, but a well played toon is always better than a poorly played one.
 
Im wondering why you need 6 BoAs on a character, the only thing thats better than the best gear for BoA is the shoulders..and thats because of the sta/resil enchant.



Mabye the 2h BoA axe for warriors, and the spell dmg trinket for casters....mabye.



other than those 3 I dont see a reason to get any others.

The bow is arguably better. Both daggers are great. And i have the pvp trinket from stone shards (wintergrasp)



Shoulders, daggers x2, bow, trinket, and haste trinket



The answer to your question is, because i can.



Chances are i am going to twink a 39 disc priest (not a world of upgrades for them from 39-49. and a 49 resto druid probably.
 
Funny, I have a 39 priest and 48 druid half assed.



Both can be pretty fun, but you gotta keep on your toes with mana and such.



49 is a really high burst bracket, so you gotta time alot of your crap right or its hello graveyard.



39 is my 2nd favorite bracket, although if your running as a healer I suggest finding acouple peeps to run with.

or you could always use a more melee approach and Ribsplitter of the Eagle/Staminawith Wall of the Dead

Farming gear on your main and passing it down to your twink doesn't make you hardcore.

Plus I much prefer enchanting my gear over .. not enchanting it. Perhaps it's just me.

Most elemental shamans I see have the Smashing Star of Nature's Wrath as their MH weapon with either Wall of the Dead or Gizlok's as their sheild (this is in my bracket at least). It doesn't sound like a bad option really.
 
I am not currently in my elemental gear on armory. I am getting ready for some 10v10s on the PTR so I am brushing up on my resto atm, but I had some input I thought might be useful since I do spend countless hours playing an elemental shaman in the 49 bracket.



Elemental Shamans have the below options listed in order:

Main Hand

Blade of Eternal Darkness* - 100 Damage Proc that can Crit. The Mana returned is the real attraction once you start playing with it.

Ribsplitter of the Eagle - Best stats on a One handed weapon. 7 Stam 7 Int.

Changuk Smasher - Used until you can get your hands on Ribsplitter of the Eagle. 6Stam 6Int

Smashing Star of Eagle - Same as Changuk Smasher

Charkstone Dirk - Lots of Int, No Stam. Used to be very viable but our mana issues are long gone.

Smashing Star of Naturs Wrath* - Great for a pure damage item. Great for weapon swaping in combat after you have take damage and/or used the mana supplied by your Stat heavy weapon.



*Should be switched to after you have take damage and/or used the mana supplied by your Stat heavy weapon.





Shield

Wall of the Dead - Heavy Stam

Grizlock's Hypertech Buckler - Nice Int boost; However our mana problems are no longer an issue.
