New heirlooms to expect?

So the thought's been racing around in my head all weekend,What Heirlooms can we expect when Cataclysm hits stores?I'm personally hoping for an heirloom shield with Spell power and Intellect,and a Libram with + Holy Light healing.So what're you expecting from heirlooms come cataclysm?
 
tanking shield for sure recently leveled a tank to lvl 44 (so far) and a BOA shield is desperately needed if Blizz wants to see more tanks in the mix. i don't think anything will ever replace the stam that fishing hat provides. We might see all item slots eventually replaced with BOA pieces just for the simplicity of the casual leveler never needing to change gear. That would effect the entire AH economy though so who knows?..
 
Full BoA for BiS.. hmm.. I kind of hope not, atleast I'd like to reserve some of the classic items. A BoA better than fishing hat? Noes :(. Nostalgia.

Duckhunt, If you read this, You better cuss the blizzard team out at Blizzcon and threaten them if they dont protect us!

What kind of trinkets should we get? We have one for Haste and one for Spell power and not to mention an Insignia.Need more comments like this.

Both of these trinkets benefit Spellcasters alot more than they do Melee DPS, with one of them only benefitting Spellcasters. Other potential trinkets would be say one for Crit, one for AP (Or have two, one for Str and one for Agi). I doubt there will be any "Use" trinkets for DPS/Healing stats amongst BoAs, though Jewelcrafting trinket recipes may get expanded to introduce more such trinkets into the brackets.



Additionally, up to date, there is no tanking BoA trinket.
 
Libram/Relics and all those hybrid class off-hand slots would be amazing..



We'll probably see BoAs of the gear types less available to lower levels (Head, Neck, Rings, More trinkets)



Tons more weapons, new shoulders for each class itemizing a little differently..

I see them as being cookie-cutter sets meant for leveling, probably not a lot of choice for slots and most likely expansions on the current itemizations and their cata equivalent. I.e. A full shadowcraft set for rogues. Fishing hat will always be BiS for FC imo, but depending on the way they itemize any BoA head slots they may introduce we may see dps and heals abandoning their hats.

Yeah, i could easily see this happening if we get heirloom hats.. Breastplate of Valor for example have 17 item points, whereas the best blue breastplates in the bracket (TBJ and BDA) have 14 item points each. If you want to compare it against a high level green, inferno robe has only 15 items points. LFH only has 10 item points on it, and the other heirlooms have always had much higher item pointage than their predecessors, so if they do introduce new BoA hats, then i would expect them to outclass LFH :( R.I.P
 
I want engineers to get a profession specific BOA trinket or item that lets you unlimited bombs. This would be similiar to the engineers belt enhancement.

I think it more likely they'll make a BoA set for every armor class and role. For Cloth, we'll see DPS and Spirit BoAs, for Leather, we'll see Caster and Agi sets, potentially the Caster gear is further separated into Hit and Spirit gear. Same goes for Mail. Plate already has Str and Healadin gear, but no dedicated Tanking set atm, they have been doing alot more to make dungeons more accessible while leveling so I think it likely they'll introduce tanking BoAs in the future. I don't think it likely that they'll introduce BoAs tailer made for every Class's different AE value for stats in the near future.
 
The biggest question really is how are they going to be obtained. If you have to be a member of a high end raiding guild and if you will still get to keep guild BoAs if you gquit.

They said guild experience can be obtained from individual accomplishments along with guild accomplishments in some cases, so I think the most a guild would need to get their hands on Guild BoAs would be a couple of lvl 85 DKs farming Random Heroics if even. If they land spots in PuG positions in Raids, it's even better.
 
Forcing people to stay in a guild to keep their BoAs... this might stop horde guilds from disbanding and reforming 24/7 :eek:
 
If you mean healing shield then I agree that that would probably be the only addition that would really benefit the bracket, that and a 2h hunter wep
