New Heirlooms coming in 3.2...

Probably shield, wand, helms, perhaps more. But I'd have to agree, I'm starting to dislike the idea of an influx of even more essentially overpowered pieces of gear that are available only to those that have the time to balance both end game raiding/heroics as well as low level pvp. Not only that, but then there will be those that aren't even in-depth twinkers that will just slap a bunch of heirlooms on a char and pvp. I'd expect to see a bunch of chars like that in the near future if this is the case with gear additions in an upcoming patch.

ugh. do not want. i hate farming heroics.

it is a bit of a double edged sword. on one hand ive been wanting new BoAs since the first came out to round out all my gear. on the other hand, it'd mean a lot more 5mans/raiding to get badges.

in all honesty the BoAs are not that OP. ever since the gladiator inscription was removed, they are high end blues, just as intended, and nothing more. any 49 twink can excel with out them, and skill is the final factor in a player, this shouldnt matter this much.

if you dont have an 80, thats fine. its not that hard to lvl one quickly and jump into 5 mans. if you choose not to have an 80 than its your loss. it also isnt that time consuming to get badges, one guildmate of mine got 65 badges in 2 and 1/2 days (for his BoA axe). it just takes time and determination.

if you're like me and just rerolled on a new server with no other toons, then its not so bad. i just made a 49 pally healer and with no BoA mace or shoulders i do just fine. arbiters blade and mantle of lost hope are still really good. plus like i said skill > small stat differences.

BOA gear and non BOA gear on a holy paladin or shaman is the equivalent of ~50 sp. Pretty significant IMO...

dunno bout 49, but in 39 BoA's are better than anything else in most slots. with more and more items coming the ololol endgame farmers will be able to either improve their chars further than anybody alse can OR more and more olololrets with BoA equip will flood the bracket and stun-judge-autohit-kill even more. the BGs will be flooded by scrubs with OP gear. i dont want to play with em, espacially not in the same team.

having some nice items that build the icing on a twink is all good. excluding endgamers from the need of gear in total can not be goal. its not good for low lvl PvP and PvE.

imo.

what's the source for this? I'd like to see if anything is mentioned about making them available through alternative means. I would pay 50-70k honor for these things. It would actually make my life easier.

Well, every got possibility to level their characters up to 80 and get BoA items.

Like i did, i putted my twinks behind for a bit, and started to collect some Heriloom items, that i could be more "powerful"

so it's up to every1 to choose, do you want to spent time to be "perfect"

I completely agree.

You are correct. With the +SP change to the BOA casters staves, the price of SoJs has dropped significantly, for example.

FIXT. It will only get worse, though.

with kings i have a bit over 3khp 4.4kmp, and like 320 SP.

plus with brillient wizard i get more SP and crit than the BoA mace.

the mantle of lost hope is pretty awesome too. id take the bit of stat loss to not lvl a dk from 55-80 and farm hah. not really that much of a difference anyways

Ugh, I despise heirlooms for one main reason, and it's not the overpoweredness. It's because of the fact that you HAVE to get them, there is no other choice. Everyone running around in the same shit gets boring and kills twinking.

Fixed imo >.>

I had this dream that in a time long ago a young leveling lad who aspired to excel at low level pvp could save up his pennies from farming copper mines and working the auction house to acquire powerful enchantments, hire the aid of mercenaries to obtain the most powerful items from the depths of the deepest dungeons.

Now in this time of illustrious rapture when work applied equaled just compensation there were those who were envious, yes envious. They didn't aspire for the high ranking commanders of the lower level tiers of battle, they didn't aspire to stop the onslaught of horde from invading the country side and burning our colonies, no, what they wanted was to come into battle half ass leveled and poorly prepared for the melee and magical combat, looking for hand-out blues for their piss poor performance on the battle field, crying all day long that the reason they couldn't excel is because they didn't have the necessary means to make necessary ends.

These traveling panderers eventually shed their battle gear and took up jobs as lobbyists and petitioned the powers that be to remove this "imbalance" and "set things right" in the world of azeroth by limiting the power that a low level lad may obtain. There struggle was long and they were ignored for many years but then finally high level enchants were rendered useless to low levels and thus the balance between those that had end game characters and those who didn't was an equal playing field for all to use.

Then they added heirloom items. GG Blizz.

Its funny how people predict the end fo the world with BOA and OH NO BADS WILL HAVE OP GEAR...

Guess what... Bad is still Bad. So now Bads get owned in BOA gear big deal.

I can tell you now in 49s BOA gear has not and will not make a bad OP.... EVER!

If you feel this is the case then maybe you aren't as good as you would like to think you are at your class.

I for one would rather kill people equally geared or close to it..... that's the whole point of twinking. Whiners worrying about people being OP sound more like bads wanting to farm under geared nubs.

I personally don't like what they do to the leveling process as I like to level in instances instead of questcraft. I also feel it's ironic that they nerfed something everyone of every level had access to (time willing) just to come out with something of similar power that only end-game players have access too.

It undermines the effort people put into getting those super rare items, maybe it shouldn't be so hard in the first place but I feel it's also part of the fun and the excitement of twinking.

Battles of equal level are a pleasure as well as melting 10 newb's faces in a row. I'm not worried about "bads" in their heirlooms items taking me in my "antique" items and will eventually start the grind to 80 to finish off my toons but I feel there should be an alternative route like someone said ten's of thousands of honor would be way better than the system is now.

One thing I can tell you is that chest piece heirlooms will be available in the next content patch. They will provide a 10% experience bonus that stacks with the shoulder bonus.

Sigh, will they at least match?

Marmite, as an original Sky is falling member, it's funny that u're in here saying that we're crying. I still luv u Jay...

Don't get me wrong I don't disagree with people like Magrim saying that its stupid the ease of obtaining this gear or anything on point like that.

I am merely addressing those who are crying about bads obtaining BOA gear and twinking.....

I have never been a sky is falling member that's Pantene :p.

I did say that stam nerf would impact the 49 bracket and it did in a huge way. Attendance of twinking in the 49 bracket across nearly all battelgroups dropped to almost nil like I said it would.

I said the Stam nerf would barely effect me but would hit other classes really hard and it did and made many people stop playing.

If for seeing the impact of that nerf makes me a sky is falling member so be it........ I was also validated in my opinion as well so........

FYI I still think your rolling a warlock......... you know you want to roll a cloth warrior :p

I am going to miss you Moobies when I move back to Australia. I won't get to play with you guys anywhere near as often till I finish up my schooling and move back over this side of the world again.
